roads,rubble re-opening the gateway to pulpi

Ok so the titles a bit grand but we now have, tarmac, palm trees and pavements pretty much all the way from the ring to the fountain. Obviously someone at the town hall realised that semana santa is next week and a lot of visitors will be here. good on them.

You can now get from the ring up through Jaravia and all the way to pulpi now, which is good.
You can also see where the new road will bypass jaravia (jeez i bore myself sometimes...haha).

Anyway thats about it, without a doubt this is the best resort to have property in so dont give up yet.

The new road does not connect to anywhere at the moment and as to going on to Pulpi that may happen in the next two years if not longer unless the old road is alowed to be kept ,which will not happen.The new houses etc  that the road was put in place for seem to be a very extavagent plan that will be diluted in the near future as money will become harder to obtain especially from the eec ,and as there are very few companies willing to fund  this size project  in Almeria region or Spain .This is or could be a blessing to the area and Terreos in general.

I went to Huercal Overa on Tuesday. The new road to Pulpi is open.

Richard the road is closed from the roundabout at the green tops and has never been open to traffic nor will it be according to a lot of the locals , for a good while yet.There is no money available to finish this road and the only substantial work being done is the painting of the lamp posts and the usual dumping of hardcore.So to join the toll road you either have to head to Aguilas which is easier  or almanzora then cut off and skirt round the back of terreros it would apear that we are not talking about the same road.

Being a local, yes i agree the bit between the green foofs and the ring is normally closed, but during the day you can pass,  Ive been through there umpty times in the last 2 months.

Im not sure on the running out of money bit tho. I think it will be open all the way to Pulpi before June.

The road from Pepa's up past the green roofs and up to the ring road has been officially opened by the Mayoress of Pulpi this evening and we have driven along it - just because for the first time in a year - we can. Our trip to the golf course will be significantly shorted now.

And to celebrate we had a thunderstorm with torrential rain and spectacular lightening.
