Having found a small puddle under the kitchen sink, I investigated and found that in my apartment the builders decided not to put any sealant at all under the kitchen sink. So the water was leaking from around the sink through into the under-side of the work top and the cupboard.
I’m told by some of my knowledgeable neighbours that some sinks had a rubber seal, well not this one!
I didn’t spot this at snagging and decided not to deal with PW customer service on this one, so sorted it myself.
It’s a pretty simple task for you or your friendly property manager:-
1. Loosen the 6 screws under the sink. There’s no need to disconnect any plumbing
2. Slightly lift up the sink, temporarily support it, using something handy, I used screwdrivers, as they were handy
3. Apply silicone underneath the edge of the sink. (I bought “transparante” which actually turned out white! Didn't really matter as you won’t see it when it’s finished)
4. Tighten screws, job done!
