Apartments Insurance

Hi All

We are out again from the 18-25 April and as usual looking forward to it. I noticed a previous thread where Les wrote 'We have just found out, over a year later by querrying it again with the Housing Communidades, that we are not covered and have to arrange our own private cover (apparently the apartments and semi-detached houses are covered).'

In our first year we took out Insurance with our mortgage provider but will now shop around. I would welcome advice on what is covered and what is not by the Housing Communidades.

I was surprised to receive no posts to my initial enquiry.  I have had the following reply from housing Communicard

 'The insurance covers all the  communal parts as Mr Pritchard said in his e-mail and also the continent. You just need to make an insurance for the contents of your property and 3rd party liability'.
