This coming weekend, 6th June, the chiringuito (beach bar) El Chumbo is opening for the Summer season.  They are located on El Quitapellejos beach, which is behind the petrol station on the Consum to Villaricos road.  The bar is the nice one as you turn right on the beach.  It is run by a Spanish family and serve traditional Spanish food and welcome the English.

I never did find them very helpful in there and prices were always top dollar. That said, I chose to have my Iberbanda service sorted via them as I thought it better to have someone closer and English speaking if I had any problems.

I agree, the few times my wife went in there she found them to be very unhelpful and ´snotty´.  Don´t know if they are just moving or closing down completely, the info came off the local radio, so hope this doesn´t cause you any problems if your broadband goes wrong.
