hi all, we have recently received a leaflet from Abril 24 advertising gardens that they can do for SG with reduced prices if you order before end of Jan, I have queried this with grupo masa as we were told that the gardens would all be finished exactly like the show house and it was included in the price  - I have since had it confirmed that this is not the case - they are only going to tidy/remove the rubble and soil the gardens and thats it. Has anyone else been told that the gardens were included etc?  we have a side garden as well so the planting etc is now going to cost us quite a bit, I am also worried about the watering/sprinkling system as we were also originally told that would be done for us and put on a timer system so thats obviously not going to be provided either. Depending on how much these watering systems cost and how they work - it may not even be worth our while getting any planting done. Can anyone else advise what they are planning to do..?

thanks

caroline

Hi Caroline, we've had the same offer and are not taking it up.  We weren't told the gardens would be done, but there again we have not heard a word from MASA for over a year.  There are a few comments on this Abril offer on the MSN SG site.  How can we book the service when we don't know what we will need. Recently a very kind member of the MSN SG site tried to take pics of our house, which is on the first phase M14, so is supposed to be ready soon - ha ha.  They couldn't get near the house as there was no road, no pavements and still no gardens finished.  Why would we want to sign up to a square metre price when we don't know what sqm of garden we've even got yet.

Best wishes,  Jane.

Hi all,  the developer in most cases doesn't finish the gardens. My sister has owned a property in Los Altos for 5 years and eventually through word of mouth was able to contact a tiler working for the construction company who did the job at the weekend for cash in hand.  In my opinion leave the garden and even if a few home owners get together perhaps they can get the work done even cheaper. There will always be someone about willing to do this type of work, you'll be amazed at the amount of leaflets left for each property advertising all sorts.

Best wishes,  Jacquie

Hello,

I also had the letter, I asked them to do the garden and all they did was sent me a quote for over 3800 euros, the price quoted is for 50 Smetres. My garden is only tiny, unless its grown since my last visit, but they have quoted this money based on the size of 111 square metres. In my opinion it's another con by MASA, hence I am not having it done.

Sue
