Hi all
Just to let you all no that I have just got a full refund on my deposit - reason, the town hall hasnt given planning for the island build.
So i executed the bank guarantee through my solicitor, and after a couple of anxious months, eureka, happy as larry

Hi, just one question, when you got your refund was it for just the amount you paid or with interest as is generally accepted.

Congratulations on your refund with interest. I'm also an island buyer and would appreciate a PM with details of your solicitor for advice on how best to proceed in obtaining a refund with no guarantee.

Thank you for this information. We (Murcia Golf Properties Ltd) have a few 'Island owners' trying to sell their contracts at the moment. We will advise them to seek legal advice.

Can anyone advise if they got info from EnglishGeoff? I sent a PM but never got a reply. I don't want to brand the man a fantasist without due cause but found his reticence a bit odd after his posting.
Would love to hear if a refund is actually a realistic possibility or just Geoff's idea of a joke on us all.
If you are out there Geoff, a reply would be great.

I received a couple of private messages from Geoff back in July with full contact details for his law firm in Spain. Their details did come up on google and his solicitor's email appeared to be active but I never received any acknowledgement to my request for further information on the town hall's refusal. I passed this information on to my solicitor in spain and asked him to raise the question with PW legal department but there was no offer of cancellation.

Oh well, I suspect if Geoff was for real then he has probably never looked back at this forum. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and just say he is sorted & no longer gives a hoot about Terrazas.
No doubt we will all continue to look for info & if I get anything concrete - well I will tell the world of course.

Hi,
Whilst out in La Torre in October we had three meetings at head office. When we raised the question of our plot which was on the bend to the town centre we were told three different things relating the the now phase 2 and the isla's.
1, The isla's would be built as more than 40% had been sold????
2. Another employee stated they wouldnt be built just now but were hoping at a later stage they would be and in the interim period they would be building a temporary club house?
3. The road that we have bought on which is Plot 2760A would be built and we would have a date after January but is definitely being built. Also across from us on the other side would not be built.
Conflicting stories from Polaris staff which I have to say although very pleasant and coming across as helpful their stories differ. Maria in sales very helpful and pleasant and would tell you what she knew to a degree and Fernando in Customer Services again very pleasant but in air conditioned office was perspiring with the lies he was having to tell on behalf of the company. Feel sorry for him having been put in this position.
Still work is progressing but not the house we signed to and taking adviced from forums which may I say is giving us some hope with the help of some individuals ie Dave Bangor, Keith, Jean and of course Maria from costadeluz lawyers.
Anyone else told these stories or any different versions.

We have bought in block 276 (Oct 2007) and were over in Aug and went to the offices with questions like yourselves after realising our part of phase 2 wasn't being built at that time. We were told very similar information; starting to build ours in last quarter of 2009, to be completed in 2nd/3rd quarter of 2010.
We saw that the cranes were over the remaining plots of phase 2 which gives you hope! When we were over in late October, the penthouses were looking almost complete, being painted etc and they were also working on the Hacienda and the town centre.
We understood that we are on 'new' phase 2, 'old' phase 2 being a continuation of the apartments in phase 1 going left of the main entrance. We are what was the original phase 5 in the old brochures (which we kept). We think that the penthouses on the right hand side of the road to the town centre are no longer being built.
They didn't say anything about Las Islas - sorry davebangor!
Anyone got any news as to if the rest of phase 2 has started yet?
