Hi,
I'm just back from Roda (Phase 3), I was pleased to see there is site wide wireless access although the signal strength was not great in our apartment. It cost 11 euro for five 24 hour passes or 3.95 for a day. Just search for wireless networks and hook into Roda_Free
Hope this helped

Hi Ray,
Your apartment is just across the pool from ours, I was chatting to the Irish couple who were staying there a couple of weeks ago and they said you owned it. Should have no problem with wi-fi access.
PS. I was also stopped on two occassions crossing the golf course to the shop/clubhouse, I told them that there was no way I was walking the long way around. Apparantly they had a meeting about access frrom phase 3 and are considering letting only owners with golf rights cross the course which totally defeated the reason of why they stopped me as they said it was too dangerous.

Once you hook into the wireless network and try to search the web you will be stopped and they will offer you the choice of passes to continue, we bought 5 day passes and paid through paypal but I'm sure credit/debit cards can be used as well.

Back home unfortunately after 2 great weeks.
Completely failed to get broadband except in the club house. Couldn't pick up the Roda WiFi from the villa & searched dozens of phone shops for a pay as you go modem.
I'll try again next time.

re the pay as go dongle, i had the same issue, tried about 6 shops. I eventually got one in the shopping complex near cartegena where Leroy Merlins is. There is a place on the left hand side called 'something' mart and there was a vodafone kiosk that had them.
Vodafone have also launched a interesting deal where you can get a pay as you go dongle for 40 euro per month and use it in any european country with a max 5Gb per month.
