WHATS GREAT ABOUT CONDADO......................

The Flights are cheap and convenient

Murcia Airport is small, friendly and easy to travel to and from

The roads are good (If only our motorways were that quiet)

The people are friendly

The weather is fantastic

The resort is stunning

Our apartment is amazing (If you had told us 2 years ago we would own a place in Spain we would have laughed)

The views and the Sierra Espuna are breathtaking.......................

Could go on and on but finally lets not forget Polaris World are still in business despite the global econonomic crisis, not many builders, especially in Spain can say that and they are trying to deliver for which we should all support them.

Having breakfast on the patio looking at the garden, the tranquil feeling before the day starts. Knowing its going to be a nice day.

The buzz of being down at the seafront at the weekend , not getting stressed about being in a traffic queue ( not a jam as we all moved along slowly watching everyone else go by. ) Looking at the sea as you slowly moved along.

Meeting so many new people who have time to stop and chat,  and remember its polite here to say Hola  don't be a Brit and just walk past someone without a greeting .

Off to Cartagena today , walk by the sea front

Hasta la proxima

Daavid

We're sitting on the terrace of the apartment writing this post looking out onto the swimming pool.

The place is absolutely buzzing at the moment but the pool is not so busy that you have to get up at 6am to reserve a sunbed.  The new foro is going to great when it's finished.

All the people are really friendly and there are a great choice of restaurants in the area.

Best of all is the weather - it's been 34 degrees over the last few days while our area back home is on floodwatch.

Think we'll stay

Well, the Supermarket is open and the beer shelf is fully stocked.  Now, if the Clover opens as expected tomorrow CDA should at last have a great meeting place for us all to sit and discuss how good life is, oh happy days ;-)

Hi All,

Just got back after spending 16 fab days in one of the best places in the world (and we own a little bit of it) .  The inner ring road is nearly complete, as we cycled round it the other day, as Phil said the supermarket is now open and well stocked(hey girls they've got Cadburys chocolate) or should I say they did have The course is greening up well and the amount of green keepers working on every aspect should mean an end of year opening as planned.  Murcia council are moving on site and we were told they would start building their offices at the end of the year, more good news.

Witnessed at least 12 different  vans delivering furniture to various locations, so the place is filling up nicely.   We are in block 10 of the penthouses and now have lots of nice new neighbours, Spanish, English, Norweigns and Scots a nice mix of nationalities, some young(like myself) some old, some middle aged again a good mix. Simons the old one.

The pools are heating up and are cleaned at least every other day, the grasses are being cut regularly and the cleaners are always out and about doing there thing.

The sun shone every day , now what more can anyone ask.  A ten year project is a ten year project, start moaning after the ten years are up and PW haven't delivered.

Hope you all have a nice holiday. We're not back out until October

Ali

What can I add that hasn't already been said.  Everything said so far is so true.  We love the quiet motorways and the laid-back lifestyle.  The people are great and our neighbours are the best!  Hasta setiembre!

Visited Condado this weekend gone to see how things have progressed (last out in July 2007).

Progress is pretty impressive (even given the reduced level of building in the current climate).  We stayed at the La Torre resort with a view to comparing Condado to a finished resort.

Have to say that La Torre is very impressive.  Given that Condado will be the flagship resort I have complete confidence in my purchase and the end product.

Condado will have the best golf course on the golf trail and I understand from a PW employee that relevant golf associations have already asked about staging major tournaments there however PW will not agree until such time as all required facilities are in place.

I was also told that the "surgery" will remain as a Sports bar once the Clover opens.

The result of this ten year project will be amazing if La Torre is anything to go by.

Happy days.

I love this thread.  Was last out in June and planning to go again in September.  I agree wholeheartenly what's been said previously.  Even though we are on an unfinished site, the place is wonderful - so can you imagine how fantastic it will be when it is completely finished!

I am longing to go back - so reading all your comments will help to sustain me until then! :)

It's Brilliant

The people on the resort are freindly and co-operative.

The Builders get things done when you ask them to and I would say quickly too because I have read and heard some horror reports from other near developments.

Get out and see for yourself or better still Buy one if you already have not done so.

Enjoy Spain

We are back out in August.

Can't wait, there is a garden party being organised whilst we are over sounds like a giggle. (party Garden)

This morning here in the UK, it was as if the clock had been turned back 6 months to winter, heavy rain, high winds and quite chilly

What is it like in Condado?

In a few years time there will be a lot of people calling us lucky for investing in to this resort early. (still plenty of time to invest here yet)

We will all disagree and say we researched this thouroughly and took an educated risk.

Not me i was just lucky!

Condado is already shaping into an impressive place to be and some clever and difficult decissions have been taken to ensure the project does not go belly up.

Al Kasar looks cool - i have a great little image in my mind staggering back to the Jardines after 2am closing.

Looking forward already to being back in our slice of paradise.

Keep this one going with good reveiws

Hi Everyone,

What a great thread. What's good about Condado? I don't know where to start.

We returned 2 weeks ago from another great trip where once again we never got round to visiting the places on our "definately next time" list. Still haven't seen all the surrounding beaches but managed a drive to Isla Plana and beyond and it was just stunning!!!

We've got a list of recommended restuarants we've got to get round to trying and food is right high up on our list of favourite pass times!!! We've not been disappointed in the food so far. Dying to try the Caverna and Monastery in particular." Next time".

We've met some great friends whom we hope to meet up with loads in the future. Had some great nights in the surgery, even with the crappy bar service, the good company far outweighed the bad service.

Our 23 year old daughter's out in Condado now and doesn't want to come home. Who can blame her?

We're back out for the last weekend in Aug and then 9 days in Oct and we can't wait. All we want to do when we get home is go back again. Each visit sees the place looking even more beautiful and it's only the beginning!!!!

Yip, we love it.

Avril and Stewart

I will have to stop reading this thread. It is cheesing me off while I am sat out here on a North Sea Oil rig trawling through an unbelievable work-load (still make time to visit Eye on Spain though ). Like everyone else, we really enjoyed our two weeks out there earlier this month and can't wait to get back over in first week in September. Many things still on our 'to do' list as well and this keeps growing every time I read of someone elses exploits to a 'fab' destination. I can see the only way round this situation being me persuading Mr's E to consider making her part-time employment much more part-time and us splitting our year between Condado and the UK. Now there's a good idea !!!!!

Regards,

Were back out in August can't wait!!!!!  Our last visit was in June, we've had a few guests in our apartment since then who have gave great reviews of the resort, so I'm sure they will spread there great holiday experiences of Condado to their friends.

Heres to a great resort which will get even better.

Cheers,
