Just had a call from my friend who is staying in our apartment. She cannot get the air con on - she's a clever resourceful woman so I know there is a proper problem with it. What is the quickest way we can get this resolved please? We've done all the looking in manuals etc....we need someone to fix it. To be honest, it's always been cr** and I've been trying to get someone to fix it for months. It always used to blow cold, but never warm. Now it won't blow cold. It's so frustrating! Can anyone help please?

Whilst there last week I had my air con serviced, the guy came and carried out the checks and sorted out the vents so that it was functioning properly, I must add that after he had gone it did seem to be working a lot more efficiently. I was contacted by my solicitor before I left the UK with regards to this service and I arranged the date through him. This is a year service and was free of charge.
Margo, maybe speak with your solicitor who has access to the developer and see if he can arrange a service for you. The guy that came was very good but I am afraid I did not take a name or number...sorry.

Thanks Tracey. I just emailed my solicitor. Let's hope she's on the case (she never has been up to now.) Have been trying to contact Alfonso, Daniel and Juan Santos. No joy....if anyone out there has the tel number of the sales office, I will try them next. I know the maintainance office is next door. They may be able to help. Margo

Quick up-date on my air-con saga....The solicitor contacted them, and someone did turn up on Friday. He stood on a chair in the bathroom, then went out and got someone else who THEN went and brought someone else in.
Not a word was spoken to my friend who's there and the technicians left. That's it. Nothing's been heard today, and we haven't a clue what is happening. I am at my wits end. It can't be very comfortable for them, and I feel terrible on their behalf. If anyone has any telephone numbers (I've emailed that idiot Daniel Coba and heard absolutely nothing back - I even had it translated into Spanish) . Tracey, who did your solicitor call? Do you know? I've got another family going out there next week. Friends, I'm not charging them, so I'm not under that kind of pressure but I just feel so bad for them. Any suggestions would be more than welcome. Margo

We had exactly the same problem last year, the only way to get anything done is via your solicitor. Last year we had no air con in the summer and were freezing in feb. We had problem with gassing up, they thought there was a leak. First time working was in May. It took a year, dont despair. GET THE SOLICITOR onto it.

Sorry Margo, I simply received an email out of the blue from our solicitor, luckily just before we were about to arrive there. The email read:-
The developer would lilke to review your air conditioning, are you in Spain now? In negative case let me please when you will over or if somebody has got keys of your apartment.
He let me know and he arranged the visit, the technician arrived on time and the service was carried out.

we are having the same problem at the moment with my sister who is staying in a rented apartment in my block. The number for the technical office at the bottom of the road is 952893107. Paco has arranged, or is supposed to be arranging the air con man to come out monday if possible or tuesday. You have to go down if you are over in spain and get on their case or try ringing from the uk margo, but you might need a bit of spanish to be understood.
It really is miserable in over 40degree heat trying to sleep without air con and i feel sorry for my sister and her little girls. One of them almost passed out the other night with the heat, it really is hotter inside than out and its boiling outside!
We are having quite a few cut offs with water at the moment too which is annoying in the heat.

Thanks Suzanne. I'm told that the air con man came out last Wednesday. Got it working, but not brilliantly. I'm not all that happy with the support we get when things go wrong. No replies to emails, no phone calls returned. It's not great? It's the kind of thing we will hopefully be able to deal with when we have an established committee and a more clout. There must be people out there looking for work who have good Spanish and English. For this sort of situation it's a real necessity. Even if some of us are trying our best to learn Spanish, there are our guests who haven't a chance, really. Margo
