I have just come accross this site, by accident, today. I just wish I had seen it before. I signed my contract for an Albatros in October 2004. I was told complettion 2005. You can imagine after many visits to Spain and numerous attempts to speak to someone at MASA we are very fed-up. I was told it would be 2006!!. My last visit was Nov 06, where I was so depressed at what I saw, even though my house is built, plastered etc it will still take some time. The sales girl said Q1 07, however in Dec I recieved the garden info and e-mailed MASA to ask about completion they still wont give a date.

My villa is 53-21, which is directly opposite the main road in 2nd from the end. If you have time perhaps you could have a look for me and let me know. I am so depressed with it now I don't intend to go there again until it's complete, it was also my intention just to sell it but reading others peoples messages I don't think this will happen either.

Like you we bought in April 2004 and we have become pretty dispondant with the whole thing. We bought through Mercers and cannot get any commitment from them either about a completion date (probably through a lack of info from Masa). We get married in May and hoped to spend the last week of our honeymoon in our house in Spain. I keep pressing this point with Mercers in the vain hope that they may feel guilty and tell me the truth, but still nothing.

We go next Thursday and we will take some photos of your house and email you them on our return. Don't give up hope, I know its a long time coming, but the site will be lovely when its done. I have a nagging fear that this could well be 2008 though.

I'm planning to go to SG on the 10th or 11th Feb but there is no guarantee I'll make it.  If I do maybe I'll meet Barry and Mandy -watch out for a middle-aged woman trying to work out how to use a digital camera for the firt time!

Sue, don't give up hope. the houses will sell, but it depends on the price you want and when you want to sell.  The reason i'm making a flying visit is to see the solicitor about selling my son's house on SG.  The contract can't be sold on but the buyer wants to sign a pre-completion contract to secure the property once my son has completed.  The house was advertised here on the eye on spain 'sell my property' section and we had a few people contacting us.  The sting in the tail is the price.  We offered low and accepted low as he wanted a quick sale. 

I want to take photos of my own house so will def try to get there - depends on solicitors waitng time !!!!

We'll definitely be there around 12 noon on Sunday 11th Feb. Its better to visit when the site is quiet! May see you there.

I'm sure that the long wait and stressing will all be forgotten once we get the keys to our houses!!!

We've just got back yesterday after a great weekend in the sun (having left the snow behind!!!). The site is coming on well and we managed to get some time to talk to our agent Mercers, who also had some encouraging words. The first phase of release is going to be 14, 15 & 16, which is about 400 houses. These have target release dates spread over a 3 month period hopefully starting mid March and running through to May. My personal opinion is that they are still a little optimistic with mid March, but hopefully they can prove me wrong, I think start of May, but I would say no later than that for the first houses. They have cleaned some of the houses ready for furniture, ours being one of them and I believe this will start very soon. When I asked about furniture upgrades I was told that at this stage they don't want anything to slow or complicate the release of these first houses and therefore upgrades won't be offered on the very first releases. This may obviously depend on your own agent, but at this stage I just want the house and i'll sort our own upgrades later.

I managed to get photos of everyones house who replied to my offer and hopefully nobody will mind me posting them on this site for you to view. Hopefully you will recognise your house, but if there are any questions please let me know. This will be easier as I only got a couple of your email addresses. I will post a couple of general photos as well.

Glad you managed to get there and had a good time.  Sorry I stood you up.  Couldn't get to the airport cos of the snow, so my weekend turned into a very hectic 24 hours.  Arrived teatime sunday and returned monday - shattered!
