Lower Price Electricity

Hi all,

don't know if you are aware that there is a lower electricity tariff available (similar to Economy 7 in UK), after receiving our first shocking bill from Iberdrol I looked into it and discovered this tariff.  Having already bought the most efficient electrical goods, ie low consumption, we decided to change over.  We now enjoy 14 hours per day of half price electric and managed to save 50e off our last bill.

Well worth considering if you are renting out your property!  In fact, many of our neighbours have asked me to change over their contracts too (as I'm the only spanish speaking resident on our estate)!

With the rising cost of living and the recession biting hard such money saving schemes are certainly worth considering!

Hi that sounds very good deal we have a holiday home which is not used that much only pool pump on constantly im always amazed by the iberdrola bills each month.

Can you tell me the name of the price plan and does it cost anything to take up the plan.

 Had a response from iberdrola gave me a link to day and night tariff,  not much help really i asked them if they can tell me from previous usage if it would benefit me.     waiting to see if they reply.

What is the best way to contact the company? Do they reply to email?

I have been considering changing to this tariff for some time but was told recently that electricity outside the reduced hours is twice the normal rate. Does anyone  know anything about this?

I havent heard back from iberdrola but they do take a while, i dont know if the electricity is any cheaper i was just going by the e-mail about 14 hours of free electricity sounds to good to be true but who knows. 

i go on the iberdrola web site and you have to register for online customer services.

free electricity does indeed sound too good to be true, because it's acutally half price not FREE!

The tariffs are from memory -  0,14ct per unit peak time and 0,069ct off peak ie 14 hours a day, the standing charge is slightly more, as is the case in the UK for  Economy 7. However, still worth considering if your property has air/con, pool & electric water heater.  I've changed over all our neighbours and many more to the alternative tariff and all the feedback has been positive.

 Sorry my mistake it was to good to be true being free ... but half price is good to.

 I wonder if you could reconmend a good local lawyer as i have no will and had property 5 years its something we always mean to do when we come over but always run out of time  (not much of an excuse i know) but we get into the holiday  mind set  ive been told we have to get a will that compliments  our uk  will  we dont know much about spanish law bur t the 40% inhertance tax scare the hell out of me.

 Anybody used a solicitor that acutally helps the client to get the will they really need  and advise they need,   recommmendations would be great,  what sort of price is the norm.
