Lifts on La Isla?

Does anyone know if the lifts are working as we are having furniture delivered this week and are on the top floor?

The lifts are working in block 4 for sure as we were out there last week. We have also just got connected to the builders water and electricricity.

I presume all your snagging is now complete? Which block are you on?

We are in block 5 and hoping that the snagging has been done but PW dont seem to be replying to our emails! We ae not too worried as very little needs to be done.  We are out in 4 weeks time hope everything comes together by then.  We are having our lights installed now and the furniture to be delivered soon hence the lifts!

The lifts have been working in each of the blocks that we have conducted snagging inspections in so far including the block that you are situated.

Yes I agree lifts are working but be carefull with the sizes of the furniture that you are having delivered as if they do not go into the lifts they will not go up the stairs due to the restricted height of the ceiling above the staircases

PW normally take their own sweet time to repair the defects but legally the list that you sign agrees 30 days from the date on which you complete

When we completed our snagging (Block10 100A) we were not connected to builders water or electric. I have requested for the builders supply to be on for when we want to come out and clean and have furniture etc delievered. I have been told that builders electric can not be given due to the habitation licience being issued (sounds like b**ll*cks to me). I then requested the main service to be provided but I was told this could take 30 - 60 days.

I see that Mark you have water and electric, did you do anything different than ask polaris world?

I will need water and electric to ensure that the supplies are ok (also expressed to polaris world who has said that there is nothing wrong with them...yeah right) and to ensure the appliances are working?

can anyone help?

Out on 26th Sept so I do need some help soon.  anyone got an extension?  a long one!

This is the process in Spain and this caught out a lot of people on La Torre and other resorts and how you stand legally as on that reort it was taking between 30 - 120 days to get utilities

It is normal when we do most inspections of properties where a Certificate of Habitation is available that no services are connected when we do the first inspection and there is no legal obligation to provide builders supply utilities

It is actually ilegal form PW to provide services if a COH has been issued so they are not giving you b******* I am afraid

PW will tell you, quite rightly, that they have doen their bit and you are then at the mercy of the local providers to connet water and electricity and install the meters which can take 30 - 60 days

What you need is a good lawyer and local person that will chase these and check when they are connected

The lift in block 11 is working, out here at the moment untill 17th September.
