In relation to the life insurance you need to contact the bank normally two months in advance the policy expires, and say simply that you do not want to continue to have this insurance any more. LIFE INSURANCE IS NOT MANDATORY in Spain, although banks of course will do anything to keep themselves cover in case something happens to you. If CAM or any other bank try to charge you for that, when you have already inform them, you just need to mention that you have been informed you can complain to the BANCO DE ESPANA (which is the entity which control and supervise the banks in Spain).The Complaints Service acts whenever the foregoing activities involve the possible infringement of norms of discipline or good banking practices and conduct. Complaints are processed free of charge. I believe CAM will not want to get in trouble with Banco de Espana for such a litlle amount.
