Has security improved?

Can anyone tell me if security at the gates has improved recently? Are we more likely to be stopped when entering CdA then on our previous visits?

When over in August we did see the gate security stop several vans and delivery vehicles but they never stopped cars. In fact they always waved nicely to us!

Not actually sure how beneficial it would be to stop cars. They could only ask for names or apartment numbers I suppose, however if you're just visiting the sports zone they have to let you in anyway.

I had just read about recent developments with someone setting up a bit of a crime HQ on CdA- all resolved now. Problem with new developments is that things like security can be a bit lax at the beginning and people in the know recognise they can be a bit anonymous on such high density places. Hopefully it will have stirred things up a bit though and made PW and RPM and the security more aware

I asked my cousin who lives in Murcia, to go to Condado as I had a problem with my fridge on the 3rd of September. Normally when she used to come and visit me she was only asked for my name and apartment number.

this time, she was stopped by the front gate and asked by security, she explain why she was there, and the guy asked her for an ID to check she got the same surname than me, if she was really my cousin.

I guess security must be now a litlle bit stronger, because of the problem with the gang renting in Condado, which is now, fortunately resolved. Hopefully it won't happen again, and I feel more secure if they asked for ID to everyone coming to Condado.

Hi All,

Yes a new security access protocol is going to be put in place which will tighten access.  There is a meeting today between the level 2 presidents and the security company to finalise and agree the policy, but as you say it looks as if things have started to improve already .

I'll post the final policy once it has been ratified.
