bars etc

Hi,

 I'm planning on visiting your resort in Feb next year, can anyone tell me if there is much happening on the resort at night at that time of year or do you need to go elsewhere for a lively night out. Also how far is Los Alcazares and are taxis easy to come by?

We were on Sierra Golf  last week, which is about 10 mins away, and I assume the nightlife at La Torre in Oct will probably be the same as in Feb.  We visited La Torre twice.  Both times some of the restaurants were closed, and others only had a handful of people in them.    The only place which was reasonably busy was the Irish Bar, but we didn't go in there as most people in there were smokers.  Initial impression was that the estate was dead.  The hotel may have been busier but we didn't go in there.

Los Alcazares is about 20/25 mins drive.  Can't give any info on taxis as we always have a hire car, but I didn't see any on the estate.  LA has a really good selection of bars and restaurants.  Balsicas which is approx 10 mins drive, also has a good Chinese and Indian, and also a sports bar.  Roldan which is also nearer, has a reasonable choice of bars and restaurants, but none of these places are in walking distance.

I went to La Torre last night and had to wait for a table as it was busy and good atmosphere. If you are coming over in February half term I think it will be quite busy again. I live about a mile away from La Torre and it is by far and away the best resort for a meal and a drink in a 20 mile radius. Otherwise, you have got LA, but why not try Murcia, not many burger bars but plenty of good Spanish Restaurants and bars.
