Hi
We are thinking of driving from Calais to Murcia in May.
Any views/ideas/routes?
Never done it before so any advice would be welcomed.
If anyone knows good place to stop overnight halfway please let me know.
Also, any comments on toll charges and how to avoid them?
Rachel

Hi,
We drove down at Xmas, have all the info in the car some where, will post full details tomorrow.
Basically - Calais to St Jean de Luz on the way down about 9 hours, stayed at the ETAP
St Jean de Luz to CDA around 9 hours.
CDA to Tours on the way back, about 14 Hours, again ETAP, then around 4.5 hours to Calais.

Hi,
I too will be driving to CDA in May but I have a Jetski to bring down so will be using the shorter Bilbaou route.
If anyone else has a jetski in CDA can you help with areas and places to use them and any other info that I amy need to know.
Thanks
Neil

Hi Neil
We were over last weekend and noticed a couple of jetskis moored at the harbour in Puerto de Mazarron. Looks like they are stored there over the winter.
Hope this helps

In the summer months and up to October time there were a few jetskis in the sea just before the lighthouse roundabout for the turnoff the Isla Plana/La Azohia. You can drive your car onto the beach area which makes it easier. There is also a zone laned off in the sea just to the left of the Playa Grande Hotel in summer, in front of the beach bar.
