Graham White has organised a golf society for residents and guests and the 1st copetition was played today.

There were 17 entries (thanks to 7 Irish golfers turning up at the last minute).

I was the lucky winner today with 33pts and thanks to Cath for providing a certificate to immotalise the day!

I have reduced my handicap by 1 shot to make sure I don't win it again!

We meet in the bar each Wednesday at 19.00 to arrange partners for the week and also book for the society meet every Friday.

Put 2 euros in the pot and 1st and 2nd take the money!

Muy Bien Barney!!  Your post has given me food for thought though.  Would there be any merit in starting an annual owners/guests championship for, say, the first week in August?  We could certainly get the punters in as it is the Spanish holidays then too.  Only a thought as I know didly squat about golf but I am sure it would create an amazing buzz around the resort.  Any willing organisers out there?????

August may be a little hot for golf i tried last year but never finished the game? drank about 5 ltrs water over 13 holes but was 46 degs that day!

Wednesdays meet another great idea but by the time i get back from school most will have left.
