House Guest in the Sun

Hi all,

Whilst having my lunch today, here in the cold UK - what should I spy on TV, but Duquesa Village looking absolutely amazing in the ITV1 programme 'House Guest In The Sun'!!

The programme is like 'Come dine with me', but the difference is one of the dinner guests gets to stay the night.  Sean who lives at Duquesa Village is on the programme with his wife Lia.

There are some stunning views of Duquesa Village and it really makes the complex look nice.  It certainly lifted my spirits on a cold day and I can't wait for my next visit....

Well done Sean & Lia for showcasing the magic of Duquesa Village on national TV, certainly makes a change from all the negative things that have previously been printed in the press!

Michelle, that's great!  Thanks for posting!   That's really funny - they're in the same block and it was strange looking at DV on tv!!  I half expected to see myself walking outside the window of their guest room!!  Yes, thanks Sean and Lia for putting Duquesa on the map!

And how great does DV look - fantastic!  Mind you, it really is kept well - I've been looking around for a house to rent and can honestly say that the grounds/landscaping in DV is the best I've seen so far!  And I've looked at a few!

It must be ITV player's website,  because if I can view it from here (over the vpn) then for sure you can view it in the UK.  Just go to ITV player. com and search House guest in the sun and see what it comes up with.  Or try Michelle's link in the first post - you should be able to view it from there.

We can´t view this video from Spain,tryed many ways but not possible,always a message "this program only can viewed in the Uk",sistem detects that you are not in the Uk after seconds and apears a black screen with message,can anyone post it downloaded or any idea to wacht video in Spain?

Luis, you need VPN access/service so the itv website thinks you are in the UK (in that it will route to a UK IP address).

 We came last year and stayed at DV for a long weekend, with a view to buying a property there.

Unfortunately the timing wasn't right and the sale didnt go through.

Imagine how excited I was to see it on the TV unexpectedly whilst having my sarnie!!  I quickly sky+ it for my husband to watch when he came home!

The dream is still very much alive, just waiting for the right time and property.

I got it to work (kind of) eventually but it went off before the overnight stay and so I don't know the scores!  Lovely apartment.
