regarding letter boxes .... they are indeed situated at the gateways on each block everyone has their own pidgeon hole BUT having had experience of the Spanish postal system we would strongly recomend to everyone that they get a P.O. box at the nearest correos (post office) or in the nearest mailroom ... they are not expensive and are much safer ... As it is the postman visits around once or twice a week to urbanisations to deposit mail into the pidgeon holes and not nessessarily in the correct pidgeon holes and even not nessessarily in the correct urbanisation .... This of course is only our experience....
Fact is .. the spanish postal system hasnt grown to meet the growing populace and are greatly overstretched and mail does vanish ,, even registered mail is not exempt
