I dont remember seeing any letterboxes on any of the doors... can anyone correct me or tell me what happens to the post?

Hi Tina,

There are no letter boxes they are situated by the car park entrance, take a look at the pics dated 16th January (the first ones after the 10th January) photo 4 that Sheila and Alan put on you will see what I mean.

 regarding letter boxes ....  they are indeed situated at the gateways on each block  everyone has their own pidgeon hole BUT  having had experience of the Spanish postal system   we would strongly recomend to everyone that they get  a P.O. box at the nearest correos   (post office)   or in the nearest mailroom  ... they are not expensive  and are much  safer ...  As it is the postman visits around once or twice a week to urbanisations  to deposit mail into the pidgeon holes  and not nessessarily in the correct pidgeon holes  and even not nessessarily in the correct urbanisation .... This of course is only our experience....

Fact is .. the spanish postal system hasnt grown to meet the growing populace   and are greatly overstretched   and mail does vanish ,, even registered mail is not exempt    

one of the main reasons that the correos hasnt been upgraded is because many new comers fail to aquire their padron

Regarding the post we read in one of the spanish papers that postal workers were regulary going on strike due to low pay... in fact I think the average pay was 900 euros p/m (i could be wrong). No wonder they are not bothered about providing a good service.
