A Judge has declared the developer of Las Higuericas insolvent
The macrourbanización has been abandoned for months while the company remains "missing"

The company behind the unfinished macrourbanización in Hellin, Las Higuericas has been declared insolvent.
The Trade Register Gazette published on 21 September 2010 includes the court decision which considers the firm Cleyton GES SL is unable to pay its debts.
The official declaration of insolvency of the developer (which began construction on a development of over six hundred houses in an isolated spot, between the Sierra de los Donceles and Camarillas Reservoir) is a consequence of the decision of the Labour Court No. 2 in Albacete, one of the leading cases against the company related to claims of its former employees.
Specifically, the court ruling states that it is a step in the series of complaints and implementing decisions and embargoes that have accumulated against Cleyton GES SL over the past year since it announced a year ago to abandon the project due to lack of economic viability.
Now the court has found, while trying to embargo Cleyton GES SL goods to address payment of 11,800 euros for one of the workers, that "the actions and investigations carried out" have had no positive result, ie not found property to embargo, so they have declared the insolvency, which is provisional.
The decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Province, and states Cleyton GES SL as "whereabouts unknown," as recorded by the warrant. There are also other actions in the courts against this company, both in Albacete and Murcia.
Embargos
Recently, on 24 September, the Labour Court No. 1 of Murcia also froze the assets of Cleyton GES SL, due to other wages claim in this case of around 52,000 euros.
Also a group of purchasers affected by the stoppage of the project, mostly British, announced their decision last summer to take legal action to claim back the money they paid, which they estimate at more than two million euros, as they have not received their houses.
