POLARIS WORLD DISCOUNT CARD

 0UR DISCOUNT CARD RAN OUT IN DECEMBER OF 2010. WE WERE VERY SURPRISED THAT THERE WAS NO CONTACT FROM  PW TO  TO PURCHASE THE CARD AGAIN FOR ANOTHER YEAR. HAS ANYBODY RENEWED THEIR CARD? IS PW STILL RUNNING A DISCOUNT CARD? IF SO HAVE THEY CHANGED OR IMPROVED THE DISCOUNTS.

Our card expires in April but unless the restaurant reopens, I cannot see we will be renewing

Since they started serving food in the Clover, you only qualify for 10% discount as its considered to be a bar purchase whereas the big benefit for us last year (and probably paid for the card) was the buy one meal, get one free when there were 2 of us dining in the restaurant

Free night at Intercontinental La Torre was also very enjoyable but not a big enough incentive to renew, thats assuming the offer is still the same

They should be contacting you soon, my card expired in April last year and I have received about 5 phone calls since.

The deal is pretty much the same as last time, however when they called me in December they claimed that the price was set to rise in January, however I suspect this was just a sales ploy.

WE EVENTUALLY SENT A EMAIL TO POLARIS WORLD AND I GOT A TELEPHONE CALL FROM ONE OF THEIR PEOPLE TRYING TO SELL ME A NEW CARD WITH AN INCREASE IN PRICE BUT FOR 14 MONTHS NOT 12.

IT APPEARS THAT THE CARD HAS THE SAME DISCOUNTS AS THE LAST ONE. WHAT WAS INTERESTING WAS WHEN I PRESSED HER AS TO WHEN THE RESTAURANT ON CONDADA WAS GOING TO OPEN.

SHE ADVISED ME THAT IT WOULD BE OPEN FOR EASTER THEN CLOSING AGAIN TO OPEN EARLY JUNE UNDER A FRANCHISE. WHEN I PRESSED HER FOR DATES IT BECAME MAYBE JUNE BUT DEFINITELY FOR SUMMER.

WHEN I ASKED WHY WOULD I WANT TO PURCHASE A CARD WHICH I COULDNT USE FOR MONTHS AT A TIME SHE STARTED TO TELL ME THAT THE CARD CAN NOW BE USED FOR THE LA MANGA CLUB, 26 HOTELS AND LOADS OF RESTAURANTS.

OK IF YOU ARE AT MAR MENOR.

Hi Guys

We renewed the card because of the free night and discount vouchers of up to 50% at la torre intercontinental. This year they're not doing the massage/spa voucher but instead offering two golf vouchers if that appeals, which it does for us.

We got the following:

1 x Free night, 1 x Night for 50Euros, 1 x Night for 70 Euros and three nights at 50% off. The card pays for itself on that alone as long as you fancy a nice break 5 star hotel. We use it in the bar alot so it probably pays for itself. But must admit the price of ale in the clover is too much.

Still think it's worth it and you can always use it at the other resorts where the restaurants are open!!!!

Strangely, we have been involved in CDA from the very beginning but have never even been offered a discount card - ever !, but would probably quite like one, does anyone have any details as to where we might start our search ?!

Steve & Gillian, they are issued by a company called Club Hotel and Cost 140 Euros per annum(last time they offered it me). On Condado you get 10% off at the Clover and 5% off at the supermarket. At other Polaris Resorts with Restaurants the card holder can qualify for a free starter, Main course and desert, if dining with another full paying person.

You also get some vouchers that offer 1 nights hotel stay at the intercontinental and Golf/ Massage Vouchers.

Club Hotel called me again recently, trying to get me to renew, they offered me the option of either golf or massage vouchers.
