Hi All,
I saw somewhere...possible on Jill & Terry's podcast...that there was an arrangement between Alhama Council and Ola Golf to enable Alhama residents a 50% discount on Green Fee's. Does anyone have any further detail ? Do you have to actually be resident or just an Owner ? Also is there a way of registering for this with Alhama Council by email without having to actually pitch up at the Council Offices ?
Thanks for any info...
Mark.

It's 50 euros for residents and 60 euro's if your not. You will still need to take proof that your are resident. (I took electric bill) and they log you in their computer. I was over in Dec and that is the cheapest deal Olagolf have for their courses.
I played at Hacienda de Alamo - 85 euros for 2 players including buggy, fantastic course, great value in fact much better value than CDA and has all facilities in place. I will proberbly play there more often than CDA if they have similar deals.

When over at Christmas I asked and was told it was an error and no one can play on Condado for that much.
Girl in "club house" said it will be €100 each in summer.
We played Hacienda de Alamo, €90 for 2 with buggy, Course was good and finished, all facilities in place including 19th hole with food and drink.
I agree our course will be a fantastic course, and Ola golf have inherited a part finished project from PW.
But come on Its a golf course with no landscaping and no facilities yet they want to charge top money.

Phil,
I agree that they have to be realistic with their prices and €100 would clear the course. I certainly wouldn't be setting foot on it. I still think €50 plus buggy fee is a bit steep for the current condition and facilities of the course.
But Society rate of €40 with a buggy is good value. And I know last summer the twilight rates were even better than that....now these may obvioulsy change this year. I'm just hoping they still similar to last year.
Its great that these other courses which are close enough to us are offering good competition...also nice to play a different course on occassion if you're playing a few rounds.
Cheers
Shane

isnt the €50 twilight rate, €30 for golf 20 for the buggy.? thought this had stopped in october though,
i was also told that it will be going up to €100 a round this summer. if that does happen then it will be a very empty course
€50 at the moment is do able for twi-light rates. anythything more and yuor not going to get it due to lack of facalities for a golf resort

From memory I think the twilight rate last summer was €30 golf and €15 for buggy so for 2 players we paid €75 which I thought was great value.
I don't tend to play outside society times or twilight times as I don't think its good value. I think the course is fantastic and the greens are simply amazing. But outside the fairways and greens a lot of work is still required, plus obviously a clubhouse.

Twilight rate (from 2.30) has been reintroduced since Monday although it isn't advertised anywhere you find out by accident.
It is 35e for residents and 45e to outsiders.

I pointed this out to Ola Golf when trying to book, as I was on my way to register for the deal.
Their response was "Its a mistake, Alhama council need to remove it from the website, and we would not honour it anyway. Resident rate is €50 , non resident €65"
