Hi steveandrosa
Presumably you are asking what percentage of your worldly wealth is charged under the Spanish “Wealth Tax"?
As everyone’s wealth is different everyone’s tax liability is different. Not sure how much it is but it is peanuts … that is until you die when the Hacienda will know exactly how much to charge on Death Duties which are considerably higher!!
Always best to declare everything including any accounts on the Isle of Man (for example) – governments throughout Europe are so desperately short of cash that they are now exchanging information on “hidden bank accounts”.
Wealth is not just cash and property - but also (in theory) includes jewelry etc - but our accountant has not (yet) asked us to list EVERYTHING we own.
We have had a wood burner for six years and would (pun) not be without it!
Try and buy one made out of cast iron rather than sheet steel. The cast ones are more expensive but they last for ever and reflect more heat for longer. Steel ones are cheaper but do not (always) last long.
Expect to pay around 100 euros a tonne for wood – olive, almond, orange/lemon tree wood is best.
Pine burns quicker and is not as hot.
We use just over 1 tonne of logs a year to keep our house warm and snug (for six months during the winter).
Compared with electric/gas the thermal heating value of a wood burner is better.
