Anybody that utilised the services of the above firm on an 'off plan' OVP development and is interested in sharing the legal cost of issung High Court proceedings against her for negligence please PM me immediately.

I successfully sue OVP before they went bust and we are now pursuing Leslie Alberici. As I am some way in to the action, I would be reluctant to change advisors, but wondered if anyone could assist with information?

I was sold a property 'off plan' ….. yes, you know the story...........OVP and Alberici.....

L A advised me that an insurance policy would be in place to 'ring fence' any deposits and capitol payments that I may make. This was a lie as no policy existed.

Has any other ex-client of Alberici been advised in a similar way by her?

Does anyone have information that may help?

I am now taking action against her insurers underwriters.

We sued OVP and Aifos and won in court with no appeal from either. Thanks to the courts 2 year delay we still have nothing as OVP and Aifos went bust during the hideous court delay.

We used LA at first, and like you found out that despite her and OVP assuring us that our money was covered by an insurance policy/BG, we have seen no evidence.

We would certainly be interested in finding out about her insurance underwriters?

Alberici declared bankrupt, ahhh bless, what a shame!!!!!!

My name is Charles Knapper and I am a partner in a firm of solicitors in Plymouth who recently took Alberici to court and obtained substantial damages and costs against both Alberici and Robert Plane for my client.  The fight goes on because Quinn appear to have declined the claims against her indemnity insurance policy but will not give a reason why. 

I was also instrumental in bringing the matter to the attention of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and as a resuit she was struck off on 3rd February 2012.  I have a copy of the determination from the Disciplinery Tribunal in a pdf format but is is rather long.

Quinn have recently indicated that they were waiting for the publication of the reasons as to why she was struck off.  Of course those reasons have been publised so they should now make a decision.  I suspect they will still decline the claim leaving the option of a Third Party (Rights Against insurers) Act claim against Quinn or the Solicitors' Compensation Fund.
