Hi all

Moved in to No 27 phase 2 last wednesday.  Everything went very smoothly with Arca delivering and installing all furniture on time.  Went to IKEA to top up with a few things.  Very little snagging needed just 1 small crack in a bathroom tile.  Really impressed by the neighbours living in the development and the village is superb.  Back in the Uk now but returning at Easter.

Congratulations' Geoff and Hilary. Pleased everything went smoothly for you. Could you let us know how long it takes between ordering from Arca and them delivering and installing? We're arriving April 2nd to complete and will be there for 11 days' but hiring another apartment for 7 days' while we do the business and furnish the apartment. Does it take long to complete? We're using power of attorney for two of our children so hope it doesn't raise complications'. We too were impressed with the village but havn't seen much of it so far. Are there any noteable features' there? Will probably see you at some stage at easter. Until then best of luck. Carol and Michael No.45.

Hi

The completion process took about 2 hours in total. Our solicitor took us to the Notary and we signed endless forms as we are buying via a spanish mortgage a rep from the bank was there and a lady from the developer. We then were given the keys and that was it!  We had previously bought our furniture from Arca so it was just a matter of our agent arranging with them to deliver and they came at 9.30am on wednesday. They are very fast as everything was in and organised by 11am. On Thursday we went to IKEA for some more bits as the furniture packs look a little lost when in, as these appartments are quite big.  It is worth asking Arca to phone you when they are half an hour away from delivering as they will try to just say we will deliver between 9 and 6pm so you could be hanging around all day.  Great bread shop in village so that makes a great walk each morning! Will download some pics soon.

Geoff

Hi

Just another quick bit of info. Our Arca furniture pack did not include an electric kettle and they seem very expensive in Spain ie 28 euros up wards. So we will be bringing one from good old Tesco for £4.99 at easter!!

Hi, Save some luggage space and go to carrefour, they sell everything that you need and the prices are comparable with Tesco.

Hi all, already bought the kettle, toaster, kitchen tools', knives etc, etc. Will be sharing them around the suitcases. Hope we don't get stopped at the airport with knives' in a case. Wish we'd waited and bought at Carrefour now. Need towels,' bathroom set etc, so will also go there anyway. Cheers', Carol and Michael.

Hi,

Look for the 'Deal' stand at the ends of the aisles. We got ours for €7 or €9.

Hi,

Just returned. Carrefour in the Habeneras in Torrevieja sell Bluesky kettles for 9.95 euros. They are ok and do the job. Shopped all over but they were the only supplier of kettles.

Adios
