Restaurant and painting

Hi

Just read that the restaurant has now closed again.

I have people going to my apartment in May and as I understand it the restaurant will now be closed.

Disgusted with this and to be honest I am getting absolutely fed up with the place.

What plans are in place for painting of the exteriors of the apartments as I also understand the properties are starting to look shabby?

It seems the restaurant should have opened a few weeks back for over the Easter holiday period- but they had problems kick starting some equipment so in the end it was really only open for last week. I think I have read that it's to re open in June-Sept (?) to coincide with the summer holidays. They obviously cant be making sufficient money to be able to keep it open outside of the designated holiday weeks.  Have to say PW's technique of promotions and publicising information does leave alot to be desired.

We were there last weekend and didnt think the resort looked shabby infact we though it all looked good- aren't the apartments supposed to be painted every 5 years so as completions started summer 2008 we've a way to go yet?

my co owner has just been out and said he thought our appt needed painting and I read on this forum that it hadn't wintered well.

I will be out in 3 weeks so I'll see for mysel. I would be delighted if they do get painted every 5 years.

by the time 5 years are up they will definitely need a paint job - I touch mine up here and there whenever I'm out but after 3 years there are cracks appearing in the rendering that need filled (again self help there) - I'd like to see a President actually confirm the community does or will have a budget to do this every 5 years minimum - could that be clarified at the up-coming AGM ? If they don't get done we'll end up doing them ourselves and the result will be a multicolured spectacular as inevitably folk will use different materials and shades of white and that is not desireable at all..........

We were over last week and, though the apartments will need painting at some point, the resort looks great and is really starting to mature. I would like to see the areas in the centre of the pools around the penthouses filling with something though - even if its only grass ! I think they could end up being dangerous to small children.

Ee were over in February & Ham spent most of one day filling in the cracks. Paintwork not too bad but the paint on the window ledge of our lounge has cracked  &  I think that will be another job for Ham in June, as the wood underneath does not look as if iot has been treated & we are worried about the state of it after another winter if we ignore it.

Note I used the "Royal" we. Naturally I mean Ham.

Just got back from a relaxing break, despite the up and down weather

Have to say the rendering/paintwork on a number of blocks is in need of attention as coatings are beginning to flake off in large chunks. Can't imagine what it will look like in a couple of years time

One other niggle, there seems to be an abundance of commercial vehicles parked behind our block. Not a problem in itself but you should see the state of the vehicles, covered in mud, leaking oil everywhere. When they eventually move, the car spaces look like something from a breakers yard.

I tried to give the tarmac a wash down but can't shift the oil. I've e-mailed Milenium and our president

lets all paint them ourselves and get the Balamory look - I think I'll go for 'cool blue'

Balamory. Crikey, are they still showing that.

If you are having Cool Blue, Jeb can we have buttercup yellow please.
