Information please

Right Feel free to slag and call me a prat but I just had a thought! It doesn't happen too often so bear with me.   I have bought on the 2nd floor and looking at the pic I wondered do the spainish do ground floors?  I mean in the states they start at 1st, then 2nd and so on.  Whereas in the UK, Ireland we start on the ground floor.  I don't know what mainland Europe do can someone enlighten me please.  As if they do a ground floor I have a great apartment.  If not I'm shafted!!

Very interesting question, we, too, have bought a 2nd floor apartment.

As I understand it, Porto Fino will start with shops and garage underneath the communal areas, including swimming pools, then there is a sort of raised area before the apartments start. They do have a ground floor, planta baja, then 1st, 2nd and 3rd. This, as I understand it, means that the 2nd floor is going to be 5 floors up from street level so we should get pretty good views.

The architect for this has been really clever it seems, by complying with the requirement not to go above 3  floors , except when building over a commercial area.

If others have different ideas it would be interesting to hear them.

             as i understand from proindal,the first floor will be on the swimming pool floor 1to5 .
