Just to add to this update... I was there from last thurs to sunday and on friday there were a lot of workmen working on the clubhouse and a lot of materials arrived (at least 4 truck loads)... so work is progressing. They were focused on brick laying and walls were being built.
Played the course a couple of times.... greens were in surprisingly good condition.... clearly well watered. Could be cut slightly shorter (if like me you prefer faster greens) but overall quite acceptable. The fairways varied a bit - the main fairways were okay but clearly they have been doing the minimum to maintain them and being the end of a hot summer there were parts that were a bit "scorched". Overall though, given the financial situation of recent months the course is in a fair state and fine to play.
The pools were all in good condition and the playgrounds are all fine. I was pleased to see I was checked each time I entered the site after dark and confirmed name and resident status.
Anyway - back there next week so if I hear anything else I will post here.
cheers
Paul

I have just uploaded a load of new photographs taken today because they have started to render the front brickwork on one side and it gives a better impression on what the place will look lik
They have also added much more brickwork now so they can see the individual units and there is much more plant and materials up there onsite
There are some internal electric going in plus they have been fittiing the waterproof membrane to the roof area
I now also have access to the actual plans which I am looking at from a technical perspective, sizing and facilities

I understand the open area at the front directly behind the sign is an open seating area but I am still looking at the plans as I am in contact with the original person that created the plans and he is about to move onto the site, renting long term from one of my clients so he is going to visit the site with me to compare plans
They worked till 8 last night as they now have lighting up there so plan to do some night shots

Big increase in the number of people working on the club house this week, there must be 30 people up there and the car park where you park for golf is full of their cars
The windows are being fitted into the half that has been rendered today so shoiuld make for some interesting photos over the weekend

Got back last night after a very quick weekender visit.
Clubhouse is looking very big, as we all know there is much activity now on site. I've taken some more photos which I'll upload but I've noticed another recent post from Steve & Jayne, so thanks again for those.
Spent a morning sunbathing round the pool, which was very clean and VERY relaxing. My main thought was that, IF and WHEN the development starts to take off and its much busier, the sunbathing areas are very limited (well they are around our pool). No problem this weekend as we only had one other Spanish family joining us, but apart from the close perimeter there isn’t really anywhere to stretch out without getting in someone’s way around the poolside. There are so much planting on the other side of the fences that would have been better served had they put aside some of it for sunbathing areas. Perhaps this is something that could be addressed over time with each community discussing this in future Housing meetings.
Also the golf course fairways were nice and short, and the greens were better than our last trip in May, but the rough and beyond, and surrounding areas obviously need work, and no doubt the attention to detail will come when they open the club officially to the public, as I know that there are other courses in the area which are much more appealing to the eye – they have big competition so I’m sure this will come good at the right time next year. The main lakes in the middle also need filling up to make more visually appealing, but again this I suppose is just something they will sort out nearer the official opening of the clubhouse.
Other than that the same thoughts arose; add a decent Clubhouse, open to public course, airport 5 mins away, and inevitably a gradually evolving vibrant Corvera Town to suit all tastes (wine bars, tapas, more formal restaurants etc) and it will be a SUPERB place to own/rent/ visit.
Very encouraging!

I was last on Corvera about 6 weeks ago and went up yesterday after my daughters horse riding lesson (highly recommended) and it was amazing to see the progress made on the clubhouse, and the number of people working on it. Great to see.

I have just uploaded a load more photographs up on the forum which show the progress in the last 2 weeks and includes shots of the inside in which you can clearly see the designated areas for the bar, restaurant, changing areas, and offices and hepefully see the scale of the build, some windiw frames are in plus they have started boarding out
As you look at the outside the restaurant and terrace area are to left as you look at the photographs plus they have done a lot of the start of the landscaping to the right of the building

Given that San Javier will close it is expected that all flights will simply transfer including the JET2 schedule but nothing is confirmed and no contrcats have been signed, still way too early
