Hi Michael & Yvonne
Just returned yesterday from a week in La Isla and can report the fish have been removed.
On enquiring with Milinium the cause of their untimely and total demise, I was informed that the council had tested the water and reported back that nothing was amiss !
I had heard previously that the lake had been stocked with Carp, what I had not realised it that they were obviously the very rare Hari Kari Carp, who at some predermined date (presumably something to do with the phase of the moon) commit mass suicide. Also the frogs normally present in ever increasing numbers appear to have flown south for the winter as they were too reported "missing in action" (perhaps they hibernate, but I am not familiar with the Iberian variety)
Seriously though, I feel the disappearing wildlife is symtomatic of an underlying probelm as yet to be disclosed and the continuing low level of water in the lake is frankly unacceptable - we pay over the odds in taxes for our plots, the least we can expect is for the lake to be adequately filled...suggestions on a postcard please !
