activites and places to visit

We are over from 6th feb to the 13th feb and are planning on buying on condado my husband and I are delighted with the resort and what it has to offer but we have 3 children and they are coming over to see what they think before we actully bit the bullet and buy so any recomendations for things to do with them would be greatly appreciated.  They are 2 girls 13 and 9 and a boy aged 7.

I've got slightly youger children of 5 and 7  (two girls) who are mad about horse-riding.  There is a great horse-riding centre called META, about a 5-10 min drive from Condado - really easy to get to.  The staff are very friendly (english speaking) and cater for all ages and abilities.  I think an hours lesson is about €25. 

I haven't posted enough threads to be able to post links on this site, but if you search in google for META horse riding Murcia, you should be able to find it easily enough.

Sara also runs Condado Sports for the kids during school holidays.  I think she may have posted something on this site already but there is also a facebook page - should be able to find it easily if you do a search.

 Whilst not on the resort I can recommend Elche / Elx safari Park near Alicante Airport it is about 20€ but very good its a Zoo / Safari where you can walk most of it and take a train through other enclosures all the usual Animals  but is very good, we thought the 20 € adult entrance expensive but the animals and enclosures are very well kept not like some zoo parks, there is also an eating area just outside pass outs available and a good Go Kart track, with carts up to 250cc (fast) so a good day out for all the family. Certaily worth a visit if you like Zoos and Animals.

we'll also have 2 13 yr old girls with us but arrive on Feb 11. If you go back to the main AP7 motorway and go up to the next juntion (Granada direction) there is a hotel with a 10 pin bowling alley and 'amusement' type' arcade games - good if the weather is bad and would put in a few hours on an afternoon/eveing. You can hire bikes (eventually get your own), there are the tennis/paddle courts), internet cafe at Camposol, the beach at Mazzaron if the weather is good (yes even iin February !) - hope you go through with your purchase - welcome to Condado !
