Hi Isabella
Short answers:
1. Public transport not brilliant (2 buses a day, and private taxis). So, although possible to survive without a car, I wouldn't recommend it.
2. Nada. Mains water controlled by the Community. Mains electricity (except for 140 or so houses - which are controlled by the Community, but are due to go on to the mains within a couple of months.
3. Yes. Many do.

Hi Isabella,
we moved from ACC to MCC back in 2007, and have never looked back. The developement is in the control of the Community of Owners. Free from Huma. You will need a car living here unless you want to spend your money on taxi fares. The area it self is well served with motorways to Alicante airport, San Javier airport and to the south towards Almeria. New High speed train between Almeria to Alicante in construction, new airport at Covera (30 mins drive) to open this year and hopefully the new Paramount theme park to start construction this year.
we might be in a world resession but there seems to be a lot of investment going into the Murcia region.
Happy house hunting - Michael

Hi Isabella,
I don't think you will find a nicer urbaniasation in the region of Murcia, as both Michael and Peter say the urbanisation is in the hands of the Community and for the time being at least there is not even an admistrator involved. Huma has lost all of his influence and controls absolutely nothing. A large number of owners share the work that is necessary and it has been a tremendous success, perhaps you will come to join us if you decdie to buy here.
Community fees range from €15 to €100 and are entirely dependant on the size of the plot area, the community fee for each property is held in the database of the community and they haven't increased for almost 4 years after a very lucky escape in 2009.
There is not likely to be an increase in the forseeable future as the finances of the community are very firmly in the black after a spectacular turnaround in the last 2 years. There are an increasing number of owners moving permanently to MCC and the place is not the ghost town that many urbanisations are for most of the year.
Hope you find something you like and almost certainly you will find a real bargain here.
Barry

How far can you walk, Ruth?
Bread, milk, water available from the restaurant (an additional restaurant under construction as I type )
The town is approx. 4kms from rear entrance, and the commercial area on Camposol 6kms from the main entrance.
