SG approach . First Impressions Count

How about joining with us  tomorrow morning at the first roundabout to start getting rid of the weeds and cut and tidy the trees .We need has many volunteers as we can muster . Alan from the golf  has offered help and the use of his tractor / trailer and chain saw . Bring along your tools , spades ,diggers and cutters . Not forgetting water and head covering . Lets make this work , none of us likes to live in a s--t hole . It's up to us on SG to do something . Pass the word around , holiday makers are welcome , it's not restricted to residents . Lets start tomorrow tiding up Sierra Golf at 7-30 am before it gets too HOT . 

What a great start . 21 residents and holiday home owners turned up . It's agreed to do the same tomorrow . Fantastico .

Second day , even better , would you believe 27 people turned up . We took a few photos incase later down the line Masa tries to  take the credit and charges us for work done by them .. The good news is all those who took part shoud be proud of the work carried out . Rest day tomorrow , and then 7-30 start again on Friday . Iv'e been asked to mention if anybody perfers evenings (night owls ) one or two will work after 7 pm . Feel free to join .  

What a difference a day makes, to now drive through the boulevard, and enjoy the mountain views throught the freshly trimmed palm trees, and see how tidy it all is. Makes a fantastic difference. Show that when the people of Sierra Golf make their minds up, stick together, play their part, things get done. The only way is up.

Friday frolic at SG Golf and still 21 people turned up this morning . You cannot believe how much has been done . From the first roundabout to the bridge on the boulevard . To continue on Monday .

Those who turned up today , well done . The middle roundabout has been reached . With Spain winning the football I thought the morning after feeling would reduce the numbers . I got up but with only 4 hours sleep I went back to bed . Sorry guys .

Still working up to the roundabout , the weeds are like trees with hugh roots . 17 workers turned up today , and the good news is holiday makers arriving this weekend want to join us . Strange sighting though , passing the entrance tonight at 9-40 Jose from the pool bar was working were we all toiled in the sun today .  Knowbody from Masa has touched that entrance in over 12 months . What is happening are Masa worried they won't be paid as it's the home owners are doing all the work ? Any thoughts ? 

We saw Jose and Alan working together as we drove out at 8.15. clearing the piles of palm leaves with the big tractor.  Credit where credit is due, Don't think its anything to do with Masa. Doubt if they care! Should accept Jose's efforts as a peace offering.  

 Jose was working at the roundabout and boulevard  to clear all the piles of waste which were there BECAUSE Alan had been up to the pool bar to ask if he would help us out as he has a tractor and trailer which would make our job a lot easier. He said that if anybody had been to see him on the first day he would have gladly turned up. He worked very very hard - not as MASA but as someone who wanted to help improve the area.

But now - someone has poked another finger at him - why should he bother - We were at the golf bar until 2am this morning trying to get Jose to understand that there are only one or two people who do no appreciate what he is doing. Everyone else can see that in 3 hours he had done what would have taken Alan 3 weeks to achieve with the dumper. It must have brought a smile to those of you who saw my little Clio pulling a large trailer piled sky high with the 'greenery' and Jose just kept piling it on - hehe

to those of you who are worried : I can assure you that he wont be stealing your thunder 

If anyone wanTs to know any more FACTS and not HEARSAY then please come down to the golf bar and ask any questions you need answering.

Lets hope we have convinced Jose that he is welcome to help out again - its a hard enough task lets try and make it as easy as possible.

Hi M54 , You are right Jose has offered his services for free so nobody can knock that  . In fact he is welcome . Personally I've always liked Jose but the involment with Masa has clouded things and it sould'nt be personal . Masa has left us in the lurch and stopped everything on site over 12 months ago. . I was told today we must move forward and like us all I would love to but no one can sell and just as bad no one is buying , and with the solar panels , etc . being removed  this makes thing worst . If you read my last comment you will see I never criticize Jose my comments were to do with Masa and their enterdad  . Read my last comment and make up your own mind .Signing off .

Fair play to everybody.  I am really looking forward to seeing it on Sunday, and to having a nice beer in the golf and pool bar when I am over.

As a holiday maker, reading this and not been in  a position to help from here is difficult.  But if I can hep, even if it is to buy a few plants when I am over, just advise the best route forward to help.

Hi Guys , You would'nt recognise the entrance from how it looked before . It's top marks for everyone involved , residents , holiday makers , and some put in a fair amount of work ,day after day . Alan for the inspiation for starting this and offering his services , and the idea of speaking to Jose to have him on board , the tractor saved alot of work . The work is hot and tiring but the effort as been amazing . I'm afraid my camera is up the swannie but I'm sure some one will do the honners . The roundabouts now have TREES , and the work is still on going  . Good work all round .

First, my congratulations for the work to all neighbours who made it ( English, Dutch and Spanish(Jose poolbar)) It is a good example for all us.

I went to Sierra Golf for five days and only coudl to help to June to take off the weeds on the garden in M13.

Hi all!

I´ve just read the email about next event on Sierra Golf but  I´m sorry What does the date? I undertood that it is on Saturday in July but I didn´t undertand the day.

I´m sorry  I can´t attend because I hope to go to Sierra Golf about 12th August  but I want to say  some Spanish neighbours who are in SIerra Golf  on holidays in this moment the purpose of this event and encourage them.

I hope that this event can be repeated  in August and I be able to attend  else I´ll contribute with a donation

( I´m sorry If I have some mistakes but  I´m learning  English)
