is a digi box needed

am gona bring a small tele out for the bedroom do i need another box for tha room or will it work off the 1 thats in the lounge

 will only work of the one in the louge if you use a video sender, then both tv's will have to watch the same channel.

 if you have a silver bos or a black box with two out lets on the back you canrun two TV's from it but you will need an enginner to run the cables. We had a TV in the lounge and one in the bedroom from the one box.  We now have our own sat dish.

 yep,  but dishes are against the rules and some day they will start to be enforced, apart from that a sky system would set you back around €600 out here ( with a big dish ) so cheaper to get an extra box.  Of fact even with a dish you would still need a box per room to watch different channels.

Jay05 is right. We have one TV in the livingroom and one in the bedroom. Booth with built in DVB-C decoder and we can wath separate channels without any boxes.
