Hi all

We just got back from our hols and wanted to share our experience with you all! We have been owners since CdA was just a dust bowl and on this trip seen the biggest change in the resort since the apartments went up. It felt like a 'proper' holiday resort with plenty of atmosphere. The Bars/restaurants were all good:

Bokao - My favorite - good priced cocktails and the tapas was yummy. Service was reasonably good!

Ice Cream Parlour- Like the idea of alcoholic milkshakes and they identified gluten free options but the guy that we ordered from did not speak a word of English and got our order wrong!

Bulgarian- Speedy service, food reasonably good

La Cata- we had menu of the day which was very nice but service was quite slow

Condado Club - great cafe environment & the Clover - good cocktails and great music choices!

We saw the planting ready to go in around the new club house, it looks a lot better than we expected :) The saturday market was very busy but a little disappointing... more ladies clothing and less bangle stalls pls! It did add interest to the resort though! Lots going on in the port, tried to get on Solazlines boat trip but they didnt have minimum numbers! We also took the evening shuttle to the port with Condado Excursions which was very enjoyable.

Pools were very busy and I do wonder where everyone comes from as I am sure the poolsiders were not all from our garden!???

Those who are off to CdA - have fun and enjoy the very much changed resort!

His reading might need a bit of an improvement but I'd like to say a big thanks to Neill for dragging himself down to the pub early Sat morning to fix the TV for us to watch a rugby match, the night after the golf society dinner.

He looked like he would have slept for another 10 hours!!

So a big thanks Neill...and we'll see you this Sat morning for the semi!!

Shane

Indeed - I, too, am very grateful to all the permenant residents out there that are putting so much effort into developing the resort!

I try to do my bit and support them by drinking/eating at all the bars/restaurants when I am there! It's a hard life but I can manage (although my waist line doesn't do so well)!

Wow,

7 posts on this very positive thread and none of the half-empty crew have jumped on it yet......................

Are they all out eating/drinking and generally enjoying themselves at our lovely resort? ;)

Got to say if you are a bit of a 70's rocker like me, then one of the best nights out is the Clover when the CAS band are playing. Some of the best entertainment you can get for free. Great night the other week sat at the bar with my 18 year old son educating him on the finer points of classic rock and drinking nicely chilled Tetley's on a hot summer evening. Does life get any better than this? Jon Faulkner.

Totally agree with the positive comments here. We are in the middle of a two week break and the changes here are really great.

- Clover still good but change in level of service significant. Great entertainment, food and drinks!

- Condado Club great for sports and food is really good with a wide choice to satisfy all

- Ate at La Cata and the food was superb - freshly made. Service could be a little quicker but hey this is Spain and we;re on holiday plus it wasn't really slow anyway

- Been to Bocao for a cocktail which was a little too good so had to have a few more!

- Ice cream parlour to be avoided if you're watching the calories but for no other reason!

- Club housecoming along and they wereworking well into the night last night. Air con fitted and it looks really good. Very nice changes around the building to the landscaping, etc. This should be a real addition to the resort

Just need various parents to keep their kids under control at Al Kasar as it is quite dangerous with them on the stage, in the pool and riding bikes/scooters between tables at 100mph. As usual it will take an accident before anyone does anything but hey ho.

Life's good over here!

Just got back from 3 weeks at CDA and the changes are significant.  Alot more atmosphere with much more of a buzz around the place and by the looks of it - plenty of cash being spent in the bars/restaurants on the resort !

Tried all the new places that have opened in Al Kasar and liked them all - totally agree with the positive comments already posted.

The Gran Paella seemed to go down a storm on Saturday and Al Kasar was the busiest that I've ever seen it.

I popped into the sales office last week and was told that a large number of properties have been sold in the last couple of months so hopefully there will be even more people visiting CdA next year and we should see more businesses opening with the Al Kasar.
