Concerned for the safety of young people coming across from N8 onto the driving range, challenged one young lad at lunch time today with an armfull of range balls, advising him that he was stealing them, blank look! half an hour later same youth and another playing football on the range opposite Penthouse 2, it should not be the responsibility of others to advise of the dangers, come on Moms & Dads what are your offspring up to!

Yep....so true….I sit on my terrace in my penthouse and watch them come out and steal balls most every night in august…as last august…..last year I got involved but no more….called security…"not our area of jurisdiction"…now that the golfing offices are at new location one would think they would notice this during the hours of operation at daylight but no reaction while people are jogging and riding bikes on the paths around the golf course….might as well shut down the driving-range for the month of august like last year.

While on the "sour-note"….people from Garden Apartments in Naranjos 7+8 are using the Penthouse parking spaces….those are private and paid for by penthouse owners….stay away…you have not paid for those spaces !!!!!
And would someone please advise me on pool-rules….Penthouse pools used to be very quiet and a tranquil place to be…not anymore…again people from garden apartments coming over here using them…just not right….there are plenty of pools in the garden apartments.

Cheers…enjoy the summer while you can !!!

Hi

If security will not police the golf course who will?. I am not a golfer but I know that there are rules & regulations

Maybe someone who is given powers to "police the course" on "our" behalf could be employed. Ideally  this person would have a decent command of the English & Spanish  language.
I know we have owners & visitors from other European countries but thankfully they seem to speak & have a decent understanding of the English language.
Now don’t go shouting at me & saying we all have enough to pay out because I know that, but if golfers are becoming angry about the delicate subject of golf balls etc. then maybe this is the only solution unless someone else can think of an alternative
Jan

We have 22 pools insise the resort. I thought it was free to use them all, or else tell me where residents from ex. Naranjos1 or 3 should take a swim, or residents in penthouses opposite Naranjos 1 & 2.....?

Dear All

Policing of the Golf Course and range must be the responsibility of the Marshalls employed, as is the case on most courses in the UK. In July I played 5 rounds of golf over a two week period and not once did I spot the Marshall in the buggy, in previous years I always saw a Marshall on the course.

As for the driving range balls being stolen, yes the parents have a duty of responsibility to control their children, yet IRM could control this within reason by colecting the balls during the day and finally a last sweep up at the end of the day.

All pools on the resort are available for all owners to use with the exception of La Isla. In fact, this year I set myself a target to swim a length in every one but have not yet managed it. I blame Michael Phelps for putting me to shame

We prefer to use the penthouse one which is technically closer to us than our own jardine one. Off season they are the quieter ones and not being a fan of kids, the silence is golden

A few Adults only pools on the resort would be ideal or just rename them pooh free!

Anything happening on the Golf course is the responsibility of the Golf management and nothing to do with the community fees in my eyes!!

The pools on the resort are for all as stated by Jansson because some gardens do not have pools.

In the grand scheme of things I dont think taking a few golf balls at night warrants employing anybody, the golf management should be collecting them up each night.

But I dont condone theft!

As far as parking spaces are concerned, this would be an issue if the resort was full but I see on many occasions spaces belonging to apartments being taken by others, I have had this happen to me so we park in another.. If it becomes a long term problem then the presidents should have a word with the miscreants!!

I agree, balls should be collected by Global Golf every evening or fenced off like every other driving range I have come accross.

The fencing off is not a good idea so regular collection of the balls is the way forward.
