Three basic annual charges we face (besides utility bills)

1. Community charge collected by Resortalia for managing the site - you should contact them to sort out the standing order. This is collected quarterly

2. Local community charge to the local authority (Torre Pacheco in our case) - this needs to be set up with the Town Hall in Torre Pacheco, This can be paid on the spot and/or standing order set up. I can give you more details should you need it. This is due now and annually.

3. Non residents tax - this is paid to the tax office annually in Q4. Resortalia offer a fairly decent service to get this paid. Its a bit tricky in the 1st year as you need to fill out additional forms. You can go to a solicitors but they can often charge more than  the tax itself. I believe you could try and sort it out yourself (tax office in Cartegena) but I don't know how difficult this would be.

I have managed to sort out the community charge

I am stuck on the other two i have emiled Resortalia to see what sevice they offer.

Can you fill me in more on the town hall tax. I am planning to get out before christmas is it a case that i go to the town hall and pay ???? what do i need to take ect ...

Hi, we have an apartment on Terrazas de la Torre and for the past two years we have used a company called the Spanish Tax Forms Ltd.  Their telephone number is 08000845 210.   We have found them to be very helpful and they have not charged us a fortune.

For the the local community charge to the local town council you just need to go to the Torre Pacheco council offices. I can probably send you a map if you give me your email addr. You'll need passport, NIE number and some sort of proof of address. We had to go to one office who found our building reference number and were then directed to another office to pay the charge, but the staff were very helpful and in the same building. Best to take your Spanish bank details aswell so a standing order can be set up.

For the non residents tax suggest you can either wait for Resortalia to respond (we used them last year and were happy with the service) or you could try the Spanish Tax Forms service as suggested. I looked at that option but didin't go with it as they couldn't do the initial registration with the tax authority on our behalf and meant we would have to go to the tax office (Murcia or Cartegena) to do this. The Resortalia service were able to do this step for us (at a cost, naturally).

So do i need to do the form 30 {tax registration} before i can pay the non residents tax ect ??? i cant find the answer to this.
