Fees on completion

We had the same thing the day before completion with CAM bank last week.

 If at all possible - avoid using Banco de Valencia.

I have my mortgage with them and they are awful to deal with.  Terrible 'customer service' - if you can call it that !  

Easily the worst company I've ever come across.

p.s. - They'll try and sting you on the insurances every year.  Just remember that the only insurance you're obliged to buy is buildings insurance which has to cover the outstanding total of the mortgage as a minimum.

 1% notary on both the deeds and the mortgage when i completed with CAM in 2008, can't remember what the land registry was, but the estimate (inc IVA) was alwasy c10% of the cost, at least your 1% on everything is cheaper than the 1%s most of us paid
