Received email from our lawyer today saying Jale have asked him to prepare for completion and that the habitacion licence is to be granted on 9th April..or thereabouts..We'll wait and see what happens!

We also received an email from our laywer today stating that they have received notification from Jale that the First Habitation Licence is expected to be obtained after 9th April and that the scheduled dates for signing the Title Deeds on purchase are between April 9th and May 14th 2007. They have also advised us that the dates to visit the property for snagging are 10th & 11thg April and we have to confirm required date & time to get appointment arranged for this. Fingers crossed on these dates. Think the snagging is really important - we are engaging independent company to do this on our behalf.

We have also had word from our solicitor but not regarding the date for the habitation licence only dates for the snagging, although saying this she has confirmed that the habitation licence application was near completion last week. She has said these dates (snagging) are not set in stone if they are not suitable to you as individuals then other other more favourable dates can be made via your solicitor.

We have just received an e-mail form our very cautious lawyer that we are to complete on the 24th April and to have all the monies ready for then. It would therefore appear that the habitation license will be granted before this date.

Our solicitor already has our NIE-I don't know what process she went through, she just did it on our behalf! Incidentally I have also asked her to get written confirmation from Jale that they will repair all the faults in the exterior grounds before we complete, or we withhold some money-I felt it was worth a try!
A question for all those who have moved in already-all the comments relate to the grounds and apart from some problem with water heaters there have been no negative comments re the apartment finishes. Have they all been ok, is there anything we should look for when we snag?

RE Snagging. Check your worktops in the Kitchen. There have been a few problems, chips etc.
The minutes of the AGM are now on the Ammex Site and worktops have been mentioned. I have noticed that they seem to stain very easily so be careful Apart from a few minor problems (exception the water heater still trying to get that sorted out - check yours is installed properly) which were fixed we are very pleased with the finish

I do hope that you receive your habitation licence early April and everything is ok.Unfortunatly we have withdrawn from the sale and are now awaiting our monies back.The developer has signed the cancellation forms so we will wait and see what happens now.We have been patient for almost 4 years and we also worried about the general lack of information not given to us during the process.

We too have now withdrawn from the sale, same reasons as Melcar has given. 4 years of waiting with no information has been far too long, even by Spanish standards, so we are now also patiently waiting for our deposit to be returned. For those of you who are sticking with it, we hope that the license comes through soon.

We have all suffered the despair of mis-information and broken promises. However, other than minor snagging, the complex is now complete.
We understand that due to all the problems relating to dodgey money etc. the Manilva authorities are required to have their decisions regarding Habitation Licenses 'rubber stamped' by the regional authorities in Seville and that this is about to happen.
Therefore, this may not be the time to pull out.
