Advantage car hire

Just be aware when booking your car hire,
those of you who don't want to book with Advantage, they are changing their name to Firefly rent a car from 1st March this year.

Don't like the sound of this. Why would we not want to book with them? Think that's who we're with in the summer through Do You Spain.

There are many people who have posted negative reviews on this car hire co/
We were ripped off by them, they charge far too much for fuel as does most other rental firms but on top of everything they put vat on. We were charged almost 90 euros for fuel then 19.99 for vat well we assumed it was vat because she wouldn't explain what this extra cost was, and had a very bad attitude, after a short sharp exchange of opinions she shrugged and told us we could take it or leave it, so at 22.30 we took it.

Thanks, haven't seen any bad reviews about Advantage. Dickmans seem to be the ones getting a slating at the moment.

May try to change it although they all seem to be as bad as each other when it comes to fuel charges, additional insurance etc

 we rented a ford focus last week in malaga airport for 6 days. 16 march - 22 march.   Firefly seemed verry cheap.  We payed 64 euro's for a ford focus for 6 days on advance.   But when we left the desk we had to pay 162 euro bonus.  94 euro + tva= 113 euro for petrol.  This is more than 2 euro /liter and the charged us 36 euro for an all risk insurance that we did not needed.  If we did not take the insurance we had to pay 400 euro as a kind of guarantee.

We had to bring back the car as empty as possible they told us.  

This means that the last day we drove a bit around otherwise they gained more of us.

this is not an honnest way of doing business.
