Al Kasars

Does anyone know how our resort is performing against the resorts still owned by Polaris? That is a reasonable yardstick to judge progress.

Hi all.  I have only just come on and read this thread. 

I am probably naive when it comes to the way Spain goes about business, but to refuse someone who is prepared to come in and start up a business in Al Kasar seems ludicrous.

I can't believe anyone is allowed to think they can pick and choose who goes in there, (obviously within reason) as everyone has been saying - for goodness sake "wake up and smell the roses", give these people a chance, as you are saying, give them cheaper rents to help them start up.

I love it on Condado but oh how great it would be if there was more choice.

We are near the Condado Club in Jardine 6.  When they opened up again we were overjoyed, it has made such a difference to our stays over there.  If any of you haven't frequented it, you really should, they are trying so hard to bring the people in, it is the old adage, "use it or you lose it".  They have such a variety of things going on, something for everyone's taste I believe.

I wish "all our voices" would make a difference!!

 

Thanks for that we know it is one of the business that has put a stop to our plans because they think we will take some of their business but they are forgetting we will give much much more back to them and the whole of Al Kasars.  We think all they are doing is thinking of themselves and not the community,  other businesses are being told they cant do this cant do that becauese this one business think they are loosing out

Like you have said Claire, competition is good because it means you work harder to keep your customers, thereby raising standards which is what alot of  us would like

Cant the businesses see if there was more choice and the standards were better then more people would stay on site and not feel the need to spend money off site. Instead they fear the competition and just want to look after themselves by limiting other businesses starting up

Its a real shame because it means the development of Al Kasars will also be limited, and may force residents off site more and more

Yes! Let any business have a go. We have are here over the Easter holidays and feel really let down by the restaurants on site especially the Bulgarian. A coach load of 40 people came in from outside we were left waiting 3 hours, people were walking out without paying, tables were not cleared they had a limited cheap ingredient menu on. So the kitchen should not be struggling But it was so poor from previous meals. Bring in competion only the strongest will survive. The Bulgarian would be finished completely unless it concentrates on condado residents, forget the "theme" nights you can't cope!

Thats such a shame as from what I have seen the owner of the Bulgarian puts a lot of effort in....maybe caught out by beginning of season????

One business should not have the power to decide what happens here - what a completely ludicrous situation.

If any business is excellent it shouldn't give 2 hoots what is happening around them. We always try out new places but always return to our favourite places over and over again. At home we have been going to an Italian restaurant for over 30 years! We laugh because the menu has hardly changed but they serve the freshest pasta and pizzas made with excellent fresh ingredients and are packed out every night. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. in those 30 years they have seen other restaurants come and go and some stay but they've kept on doing what they do best and are super successful. I know the owner and he has no concerns about other places opening near to him he just continues to run a great place and people still flock to him.

Come on everyone lets have a buzzing place with choice. I would love to spend every night here going to all different restaurants rather than take my euros off to campasol.

Just to clarify, I mean having a themed night and not realising how popular it would be. The owner puts in a lot of effort somwe will see how his next themed do goes!!!
