Hi, as a resort we have 9 children at Collegio Nuestra Senora Rosario in Alhama de Murcia. For this school there is a bus which collects the children about 3.5 miles from Condado. The bus has a lady who looks after them and they go to schoool 9am to 2 pm. In June and September school finishes at 1 pm. Apart from the English teacher none of the other staff speak English so the children are thrown in at the deep end. School life is very different from the UK but that is not necessarily a bad thing! They have separate teachers for art, English and music. They refer to their teachers by 1 st name , there is no uniform and they have. 1 break at snack time at 1030. School books have to be purchased at an approximate cost of 200 Euro. For my 9 year old daughter I had a stationary list which stung me about 70 Euro... Special needs children do not go to separate schools, which I personally think is lovely as my 2 have learned we are not all the same and that they must help those not as fortunate as themselves! There is no designer wear..which is great...kids are happy to wear anything...no competition! This is my daughters' 7th month and they are relatively fluent ( I am extremely proud of what they have achieved). Children are very resilient and ( in my opinion) it is a much better life for them. My younger child is prone to gaining weight and the Spanish lifestyle and diet keeps her trim. It is great to get home from school and be able to play outside...or at the moment they are now back in the pool. I would not hesitate to recommend our Spanish school and if you require further information, please don't hesitate to message me. I wish you well in your adventure, regards Denise
