100 Hole Golf Challenge ** Sponsorship **

Hi all.

Back in November 2011 my brother was diagnosed with Acute Renal Faulire ( kidney failure ) at the age of 31

To support the Renal Team at the Royal Liverpool who are helping both myself going through the donor process and my brother the translplant process, myself and 3 of my golfing buddies are looking to take on the 100 Hole Gof Challenge on 1st july 2013.

Our plan is 100 holes in one day, 5 1/2 rounds, nearly 25 miles walked & 1500 shots taken at North Hants Golf Club ( North Hants ). We would be greatly moved if anybody here would like to sponsor us in doing this golf matahon.

I should have said that if you click on the RCharity link it will take you to the donation page, where you can read a bit more about what the renual unit do, how all this came about and how to donate. 

I must say its an amazing cause, especially when the majority of transplants performed in the UK Kidney, and the need for dialysis machines is growing.

We are also looking to do a twitter page to keep everyone updated on the day.

All donations are greatly appreciated.    I know times are hard, but there is always someone worse off.  giving a few quid knowing that you will have had involvement in saving somones life will put a smile on your face.

Just to keep you updated.

We have now completed the 100 hole challenge. 

We started at 04:15 on the 9th hole yesterday, just enough light to see the ball, needless to say, irons where hit off the tee.

We completed the 1st 18 holes by 06:25, the challenge was on. We finsihed the 100th hole at 19:15.  A very impressive 15 hours of solid golf with only 1 stop off to change our t-shirts for the final round and a few piccies.

With 4 Cat 1 golfers playing we thought the best way was stableford, all rounds where in the 30's. the lowest score being 32 points and highest 39 points ( on holes 64 though to 82 ) .  This in itself is a big achievement but for 4 golfers to be this consistent is fantastic. Especially as we walked 22+ miles on the day.
