There are plenty of choices now The Clover does some food, The Bulgarian Restaurant, La Cata, Big Al's American diner andthere's a Spanish Tapas bar too. I think it's going to be down to personal choice what you think is best. We did read that a Fench Restaurant was going to open too but no-one has mentioned that for some time. Seem to remember that at La Cata you can order take out pizza and rotissorie chicken.
There's also the ice cream parlour for that little extra treat!
Plus there's The Condado Club on the sports zone between J5 and J7 and there's a club house on the golf course too (does the clubhouse do food?) The Condado Club has a good varied menu- breakfast food, burgers, sandwiches, chilli, tapas etc.
I like the fact you can now stay on the resort and eat out. Haven't tried the Diner yet ourselves so that's a definite for our July visit!

We Love the Bulgarian
The Condado club & American diner do a great choice of meals. Fish & chips, Fridays in the Condado Club. Best, freshest fish we have had in years & they both do great breakfasts too.
I believe there is to be a Frozen Yoghurt place opening near to the American Diner.
I had never heard of one before but then we stayed in Alicante for 24 hours a few weeks ago & there were a few there. Great. I would have loved to try more than one but I get migraine if I have too much dairy. Ah poor old Jan

Yep, we are very lucky now that we can get some really good food and good prices on CDA. A few years ago I would have hammered the American burger bar as that looks fantastic and will do a bomb this summer but as I have got older, or more mature, my digestive system doesn't cope that well with that type of food. But I will watch my son devour them in a couple of weeks no doubt whilst I drink a cold beer or three. The only thing I readily leave CDA for now is a good curry and the Spice Villa at Camposol A is my first choice for that. Will work on the owner to set something up in the Al Kasar. JF

Had three golf friends out mid May and saw one last night. He said they were all very impressed with the food they had and they sampled everywhere at Al Kasar. Liked the tapas bar and big praise for La Cata but also enjoyed meals at the Bulgarian and the Diner.
They thought Condado Club was good value too and enjoyed breakfast there. Also felt that there's a good atmsphere in the Clover and everyone was very friendly.
Their big plus was that there is lots of choice and you can have a drink and not have to bother with someone being a designated driver because everything is within walking distance.
All sounds good doesnt it?

Thanks for all the replies folks .
Agree with Faulk44 about Spice Villa Indian at Camposol , exceptional food and service . Four of us had a fantastic meal for just 44 euros !
Looks like the Al Kazar is really taking off.. Looking forward to September.
Regards from County Durham

There is also an outdoor BBQ at the clubhouse on Friday Nights from 6-11pm. I had a mixed grill for about 10 Euros. Was very nice!

Yes the golf clubhouse, you eat on the terrace overlooking the driving range. And yes, its only open late on Fridays. Usually shuts at 6pm I think.

Regards the outdoor bbq at the golf clubhouse- is it a turn up and buy situation or do you need to purchase tickets earlier in the week so that they have an idea of numbers?

You can just turn up and eat, we were the only ones in all night when we went! The mixed grill is great, but my glass remains the same😢

my brother is out in Condado at the mo and he was texting last night saying La cata service was shocking for the 2nd year in a row. He also said the waiter did not give a toss about how unhappy they were. ho knows but I expect they were busy again last night. Lets hope they learn from last year.

My sister and family walked out of La Cata when they were over a couple of weeks ago. They had ordered their drinks and their food - but were still waiting for their drinks after 15 mins - we have been a couple of times in the last few months and thought the service had improved.......Obviously not! It's a shame as the food there, in my opinion is much better than the Bulgarian restaurant - looks like we might have to leave the resort for a decent meal afterall.

Poor Service ....Some times on the night its down to the staff and being busy is no excuse. We had a meal at the Bulgarian Restuarant on Camposol Commercial B last week, same owners as the one at Condado. Having sat down and ordered 15 minutes later another couple got the table next to us . The manager was "all over them" and of course they were served first . When our meals arrived 3 were served and 1 left waiting for a further 5 minutes . not good . The young lad who served us got no tip apart from " bring all the meals together next time please ". The food wasnt all that good either .
We had several meals at the Spice Villa Indian Restuarant on Sector A Camposol and the service and quality of food and value for money was exceptional . If you order a take away for One person at Spice Villa it will feed three.... Its nice to have a wider choice and of course competition keep the prices down and the service level up.
In August we will head for Condado its only 10 minutes drive away and adds to the variety and choice.
Any Info about nearby eating places in the area ( Spanish Food ) would be appreciated.
