spanish bank account

Hi everyone,

Having recently bought into block 275 and completion date set, we now need to set up a spanish bank account - can anybody offer us any advice because we dont know which bank to choose, thanks

Similar to slim him, i set up my account while I was over in March with cajamar they have branches all over, I opened mine with Andrea in the Sucina branch about 15 min terrazas again Andrea speaks perfect English the online banking is in English and is as good as any in the UK, very fast with email response to any queries I've had.

I use smart currency exchange, money Corp, Caxton to transfer money all depends on who will do the best deal, especially now the apartment are soon due for final payment.

 caxton charge no commission and give rates better than UK banks you send money to them from your UK bank account and they send to your Spanish bank account. You then pay for things from your Spanish bank account. €20 per year seems to be the Spanish current account charge. All very smooth and do everything on line,
