Fly problem?

We are lucky enough to be staying at Roda at the moment (phase 3). Could anyone please tell us if the abundance of flies is normal either for the time of the year or phase? Thanks very much for any advice!

On our first visit we had this problem and was told that they had sprayed the fruit trees. This could be the reason for the flies had no problem any other time. If so they will go back to the fields soon sneaky little blighters.

We have never had an "abundance" of flies but there's always a few about in the summer.I keep the windows and doors closed and use the plug-in fly deterrents and it always seems to work.You can get them and fly spray down in Consum.Outside you can leave out a few glasses with some beer in them and they fly in for the beer and drown but die happy!!Or fill up empty jam jars with jam still on the sides with some water and again they will fly into them.Not very nice to look at but will sort them out immediately if they are bothering you.Spraying a bit of fly spray in the air around you puts them off too.Hopefully only a temporary problem.Have honestly never had a big problem at Roda but have seen a huge amount of flies in another resort in the region.Maybe the farmers nearby are spraying or putting out fertiliser??

You need to talk to your administrator about putting up more fly pots, the plastic containers that they hang on the lampposts and around the pools which contain a liquid which attracts in the flys and the then they drown

Do not put them near your property because they smell horrible but they work well and they need servicing, emptying and the fluid changing very 1-2 months
