Just read the minutes of the last ML meeting and am concerned that they are looking at options to replace the current teleocmms with an external provider (previously they have said they are talking to Murcia Cable). Although the internet speed would increase, I believe there is a risk that we would lose most of the English TV channels we have at present as Murcia Cable would not be allowed to distribute these channels commercially. Is there anyone out there that is closer to these discussions that could put our minds at rest over this?

Why ask your president??? The L3 presidents get told nothing. The L3 presidents have not had any sort of meeting since they were elected last November!! The L2s and L1 and ML make all the decisions!!!

Being the only English speaking person who actually turned up to the meeting you refer to back in August, amongst other queries, I raised this very question regarding the new internet contract which yes includes the cable TV.
I was assured that if the new contract does go ahead, everyone who had purchased a modem via A2Z would have a replacement modem and/or wifi router supplied FREE of charge and that there would be no interruption to the current TV offerings that owners/residents currently enjoy. The existing contract is up for renewal early November and was put up for tender of which as one would expect, competitive quotes came in, including those offering 10mb rather than the current 2mb we have just now.
I do have to say that other than the dismal turn out of the expats which I personally found very dissappointing, especially as many of them continually moan on both this forum and FB, I did actually find all of the 1 & 1/2 hour meeting to be both productive and informative and had all of my questions and concerns answered both professionally and courtesly from the accountants, the board and yes, Mileniun too.

One small point, the contract with A2Z was supposed to be for 5 years starting Jan 2013 but it has never been sogned by our level 1, so we currently do not have a contract and the service is being provided on a monthly basis by the good will of A2Z.

all UK TV still ok. your problem is probably just local. all the frequencies changed in July so a retune should sort it. I have seen some Samsung sets that wont retune and a wisi box that was a right pain but most should be fine.
