Router set Up.

I will probably home to reset my router to factory defaults. I don't feel confident that l could get back online, Is there anyone on CDA who will do this for me for a small fee?

I'm not on site so can't check 100%, but there's a high probability resetting to factory default will lose the connection altogether.
The password can be reset if you access the router by a cable. However the procedure opens the entire router config and you must be careful not to alter any other setting.

I'd be pleased to do it for you, but won't be on site till christmas eve.
If you can access the router with a cable I can talk you through the procedure.
Of course someone currently on site who knows how to do it may respond, which would obviously be better.

I'll explain what is happening. I want to sign up for a VPN so I can have a UK IP address and my smart TV will give us iplayer etc. I am reasonably 'techy'.

I went into my router but to get any further I need the password. A2Z installed the router 4 years ago and have changed the password from the default, which is blank and did not leave me the password. Unless I can change the password I will need to ask A2Z to come out and do this and then pay them again.

I am happy to phone you for instructions or if you do not mind writing them out I should be able to follow them.
