Some Crappy Owner's and their Dogs

I think most people are angry when they witness irresponsible dog owners. So if you know where this person lives and she is in the habit of letting her dog crap anywhere and everywhere why don't you just scoop it up on a shovel and return it to it's rightful owner. 'Erm, I think this belongs to you.
Failing that take a photo on your phone and report her to Milleniun.

Just name and shame them!!

I agree that all dog owners should be responsible and pick up after their dogs, however before you all condemn this lady have you considered the fact that she may be unaware that her dog took a dump.I know the lady that you are talking about and I can guarantee you that she always picks up after her dog and always carries bags with her .
She would be mortified if she realised that her dog had fouled and she hadn't picked it up, I can only assume that she may have had a lot on her mind and hadn't realised that the dog had a poo.
I think it's a pity that some people are too quick to condemn others and publish it on a public forum rather than mention it to the person in question, had this been done I know that she would have picked it up immediately and as already mentioned would be mortified.

So go tell her!

I would have had I seen it, I agree with you regards the lead.

Sometimes we are too quick to slag others off instead of embarrassing the owner/ other person on here. Perhaps its time we all used good old fashioned communications instead of EOS.

Again i've met the lady, who is mature and i would have expected her to be the sort to pick up....if it was an oversight could someone not have the b@@@s to speak to her instead of publishing on here???

Dear All

Firstly we have a dog in the UK and for reasons that arent relevant in this reply he always remains on a lead, as they should be on the resort, therefore we always are aware of when he has a poo and we always pick it up, before we set off on a walk we always ensure that we have three poo bags on us just incase he does more than one poo.

During our recent visit in mid December once again we noticed a couple of dogs off leads roaming freely in the gardens off leads without their owners, both of these dogs belong to residents on Naranjos garden 2, also there is an owner from Naranjos garden 1 owns a couple of dogs (NOT THE GERMAN SHEPPARD) who takes them for a walk behind the Naranjos appartments and I have never seen the owner pick up the poo.

All three of these owners are residents.

Should we use EOS to highlight these issues, I belive we should do as hopefully the shame of it all will make the owners sit up and listen, should we go and confront the owners, that is down to individuals not everyone likes confrontation, this is not a sign of weekness its just a fact.

I want to see Dogs and Cats stay on the resort as they should bring joy to people and cats can help in keeping rodents away.

Should people report the individuals to ML, providing ML can be trusted not to reveal the ID of the individual thats reported this, then the answer is yes.

In short if all owners in the first instance pick up the poo and not let your dog roam freely without supervision, if they could adhere to these two items, I for one wouldnt care to much if the dog is off the lead (out of season) if they are being walked on the waste land to the NW of the resort where there are no residents.

Take a look at the Condado News web site, there is a white dog with black spots in the square thats appears not to be on a lead.

However I feel confident that when we are next out the same culprits will be once again taking no notice of the requests and rules of the resort.

Wouldnt it be nice to approach the owner first, if they look approachable, which in the case of the dalmatian owner....I think she probably is!!! Or even a polite note in the relevant person's postbox?

The problem with EOS is that it can be blown out of proportion...and if the dog owner in question doesnt read EOS then what is the point in mentioning it on here???

If they dont come on EOS or facebook page for Condado thats fine, I am sure that there are people who DO go on the above who DO know the culprits so being a good neighbour (if I were a Resident) I would TELL the individuals concerned that their actions are annoying a lot of people.

Redrose, you always have lots of posts on here and I presume you are Resident (Apologies if not) so why not be the model Condadian and tell the fellow residents what they are doing is wrong and bang out of order.

This isnt a rant in any way its a pointer for some people who regularly post on here and are resident to do the right thing.

But why should I say to the lady concerned...i didnt see her dog do it!!

Is it not more Condadian for the person who saw her do it to say to her...Ive seen the lady conncerned only a few times, I know she lives in the penthouses somewhere but that is the height of my involvement!

I am in Condado far too often, but not resident...but keep in very close contact with some who are resident.

If it was your dog, would you not rather I said to you directly????? She's a lady in her mid 70s...who appears to have made a mistake...surely good manners would dictate a quiet word would have been more appropriate....and then if she kept doing it, name and shame??????

This could have been so easily solved by the person who saw her mentioning it ...then the rest of us could concentrate on ML calling an AGM for 26 january somewhere in Alhama....therefore not giving many people the opportunity to attend!!!

Redrose - you conveniently avoided the points made by Fairway12 below.

He is quite correct, you were on here making far more serious and liablous accusations, based on heresay rather than first hand knowledge. This continued through many posts and over several months.

I think it was hippocritical for you to advise the original poster to confront the woman in question rather than post on here, unless you did confront the people you accused?

OK I have to break my rule of staying out of these types of comments on EOS.
There are two sides to every story and here is the other side –
The lady in questions name is VAL.
She is a responsible dog owner.
The dog is well trained and friendly.
She takes the dog to the waste ground where he does his business and then always picks it up with the plastic bag that is always attached to the dogs lead.
Val is a very reasonable and approachable lady. I am sure that if you have ever as much as looked in her direction, she has given you a friendly greeting.
Val is a recovering stroke victim and she is reeling in the last few days of the news that the dog has developed a second terminal illness.
I do not dispute what happened but can say without any doubt that the fact that the dog went where he did is because he couldn’t wait until getting to his usual spot. The fact that Val did not pick it up was a mistake and oversight as her mind is very much else where at the moment.

I do not dispute that it was wrong but can assure all that it was not intentional.

Fairway12 claims to be in the next block, therefore a neighbour, so given the fact that Fairway12 knows this woman and can’t exactly say that it was a thug with a pit bull straining at the leash, could you have not just simply had a friendly word? Having seen this lady, do you really think you would receive a mouthful of abuse as you state?

I can assure you as have her friends on this thread that she would have been mortified and would have gone right away to pick it up.

Instead, although claiming not to want to make posts that turn into unfounded gossip, that’s just what you have done and more so, almost turned the thread into a witch hunt!

If the mess is still there, pm me and I will go and pick it up myself, you don’t have to post it on eye on Spain, you can talk to me directly, I don’t bite either!

So please Fairways12, before posting irresponsible posts, speak to your neighbour first and give them a chance. Secondly put your name to your post, I don’t think Fairway12 is actually your real name, correct me if I’m wrong, it just seems an unusual name.

Everybody makes mistakes and Val clearly made one here. It is not her usual practice.

It’s just a shame that you did not give her the chance to show it to you.

Thank you Andy for explaining the other side to this story, Does sound like it was an isolated incident and a genuine oversight on behalf of this lady.

Redrose.  Of more interest, what's this about AGM's?  we haven't had any notice, don't we usually get told months in advance to arrange flights or proxies??????? 

AGM announced yesterday for somewhere in Alhama on 26 january, little bit sneaky...not many will be able to attend!!!!

Gardens 1-5 is on 25th jan at industrial estate in Alhama at 0930hrs

Naranjos side that covers pent 10 is on 1st feb same place.

I assume they don't want anyone to go then?  One weeks notice ( if it comes? ) what a joke.   Last time the dates were set months in advance, what are the presidents playing at?
