Have seen this advertised for a little while and whilst it's something we'd like we cant purchase at the moment. However, with it in mind for the future we've been wondering what sort of cost is involved in removing and resiting an item this big. Does anyone have any idea?

Are any permissions necessary for bringing a crane vehicle onto the resort?

An idea of running costs would probably be useful too.

I did wonder about the 'weight' of it with a few people in it ............ wouldn't fancy that coming through the ceiling 

a hot tub of that size when full of water will weigh about 2200kg 

broken down at approx 1800l water and if its a hard shell tub about 400Kg for the tub its self  we were recomended to pour a reinforced concrete base 150mm deep

as for power the one i had at my old house needed a 25A suppy for the pumps and the heater

so based on mine it will draw about 5.5Kw when running with both the pumps and heater on

but i do agree 2.5 tonne on the roof of a 2 bed might be a bit much but on a ground floor 3 bed not an issue except for the power consumtion

A CDA hot tub was advertised on FB last year and I asked about weight issues but was rather ' shot down' for making that query. My query stemmed from a variety of threads I recalled from 2007/8/9. We'd love to have one but would like to know a bit more detail before taking the 'plunge'! I cant recall any forum comments about any problems so no doubt Im worrying unduly.

Hi Jan. I can arrange for a lorry with a crane they charge 40€ per hr so should be no more than 80€, you don't need any permission to site it, not sure how much the running cost is never checked it . Had it on our roof about 3yrs. And I know a few people who also have them. Paul

Thanks for that info. Im sure that will help anyone who's interested. Always useful to get an overall view of cost for something big like this. It isnt something we can do right now but I do want to investigate running costs too as I understand they need to be on for 12 hours before reaching optimum temperature. We did make enquiries about using a small solar panel when we 1st considered one a couple of years ago but we felt that was quite complicated at the time. Think one could be a great asset if at CDA quite often or moving into the holiday rental market.
