SEPA payment

just noticed I have had a direct debit payment taken from my Lloyds/Sabedell account for just over 29 euros It was paid to SEPA which I know nothing about.I believe its connected to the new way of transferring money in and out of your bank from March.Surely we should be notified about it. It only came to light because I was trying to activate the new Sabadell BS card!!!! I kept going back to my account and the money transfer came up during this time. Still not sure if i have activated the card but I know i am 29euros down.

please advise if others are getting this charge taken

'SEPA' is a new method of payment within the SEPA area (the EU memebr states + a few others), it isn't the beneficiary, it could be that the payment is 'now' (today) and the beneficiary will show in due course, the new method only went live this month, so if you check back on your Bank statements you may find one for a similar amount at a similar time e.g. monthly, bi-monthly, annually etc

My water bill is 29e to Socamex and went out last week

Hi Shampers that was the first thing i did check for a similar payment but didnt see any. Apologies for two posts for same thing but Gills wasn't on when i decided to post Didn't realise i was that slow using one finger to type message

If you are online then the 'intra day' entries won't show full details, wait till tomorrow then have a look, click through to the voucher if it will let you / or go on live chat with Sabedell.
